Heard a lot about it and finally went there with colleagues on a saturday night. My colleague was smart enough to order ahead as she knew they took more than an hour to serve lamb items.
We were supposed to be 5 colleagues but 1 skipped, so the food was ordered accordingly. Ordered namkeen lamb tikka, which was served with a couple of barbequed CHARBI (fat) pieces. I have tried a lot of lamb places, best being in karachi before visiting here, they had the best lamb tikkas hands down. Each tikka was uniformly cooked with a crisp outer layer and evenly tender from within. Best lamb tikkas i have had here without a doubt.
The next item to try was something new. Usually, we have mutton ROSH, but TLT had MASALA rosh. This new try was definitely the best find in this visit. It had yoghurt based very light gravy, and the meat was soft, tender and falling off of the bones just as you get to see in that salt mans videos. Excellent and a must new try.
Then it was Qeema/ minced meat, it was just ok nothing special but one of my colleagues said that it was not as good as it usually is which means quality standardization needs to be done so that the diners can enjoy the same quality or better everytime they visit.
Last was afghani pulao which was graciously topped with raisins and the like and could easily double as a sweet dish too. The quantity and quality was very good.
Last thing we ordered was khewa and here was the negative bit, the manager came to us and decently asked us to leave the table as he had another group waiting and will put up chairs next to the entrance and we can have our khewa there. This was very rude and a first, we asked him to cancel the khewa and we would rather leave to which he left and served the khewa there. It was a great evening with excellent but the manners did sour the mood so if anyone reading this from TLT, kindly advise ur managers to not to do this in future, it takes a while to serve food so take the groups order first and the other party will leave by then, atleast that was going to happen in our...
Read moreTotal chaos, defintly not a place to visit with parrents, anything you want to order its going to take more thn an hour to serve, so you have to chose from 3 to 4 items of their own choice if you want your order to be served in 30 to 40 minutes, loud music, dirty chairs, smelly meat in shinwari krahi, the only thing that taste better is mutton ran with kabili pulao, i dont know why i gave them priority over others and took my parrents with me, the only thing i got is extreame dissappointment and a huge bill of 18998 PKR for 4 persons.
What i want to order: Half platters and drinks thats all as i check the menu in detail before visiting, but the order taker told me sir it would take 1hr and 20 minutes to get ready, my parrents were looking at my face as they were very puntual with diet and we are already 20 minutes late thn their time of dinner.
What i get: As i was so embarrassed already, i politly ask him what i get within a resonable time, he said sir ap ran order kr lain 20 min main serve ho jayegi, anyways i ordered Ran 2kg, shinwari karahi and shish tao, served ran after 30 minutes, thn served smelly krahi after 50 minutes and sheesh tao after almost an hour, i couldnt able to eat anything as i was so stressed, i think koi b lrka jo apni family ko ly k dinner pe jaye or uske sth aysa ho jaye can guess the reason of me being stressed, in the end i told them to pack everything and asked for the bill, now they give me the bill after 5 minutes and it took them 25 minutes to pack my food i mean waow :) maybe ap log soch raye hn k shyd staff ki kami ho wahan to i woild like to tell you k customer se zada staff memebers thy wahan, is qdr ghtya experiance k bad there was a pin drop silence in the car while returning home ☺️ thank you the lost tribe, actually its my mistake mjhe kisi aysi jaga main family ko ly ke hi nae jana chahye tha jahan main khud pehle...
