Location, great, staff great but they refuse to allow payment in cash. As a client you have zero option other than to pay with a card. The law in Panama says that a business has to accept legal tender for goods or services rendered. So when your card happens to not work because the bank has blocked it for using it in Panama you are stuck. When you come out of your way to find this place which is off the beaten track only to be kicked in the teeth and told that you can't buy anything with your cash it really pisses you off. With an attitude towards the public like this, do yourself a favor and find a place that actually appreciates and wants your business! I personally will never buy their products if I ever see them nor will I ever make the effort to...

El sitio es muy agradable, con bellas vistas de los cafetales y un clima muy agradable. Atención personalizada pues siempre aparece algún miembro de la familia Altieri a saludar y preguntar cómo están los productos.

El café es delicioso y tienes variados postres para acompañarlo, además de variedades de tés, infusiones y bebidas frías.

Las instalaciones son muy modernas y se ven accesibles para todo tipo de personas. Hay muchos estacionamientos, ya sea in situ o a una corta distancia.

Sin embargo debo destacar que el servicio al cliente por parte del Staff deja mucho que desear (destaco y rescato el trato del tour guide y barista Benjamín, que es un tipazo de primer orden) pues contratamos un tour de los cafetales que inició con una gran demora de la hora pactada… al finalizar, el tour incluye bebidas y postres que jamás recibimos (nuestro grupo era de 10 personas) y pasada media hora de finalizado el tour aún esperábamos los cafés, frappes, tés y postres… poco a poco nos fuimos retirando para continuar nuestras agendas y nadie logró probar ese día el famoso Altieri Specialty Coffee.

Si los Altieri son tan acogedores y buenos anfitriones, así sea por que es parte del negocio, ¿qué pasa que su staff no está a la altura de su marca?

I had an iced latte and a lemon loaf. The latte was really good. I skipped the pour over as it was on the more expensive side at $6+ and I'd just had one elsewhere an hour earlier. The setting is nice with great views of the landscape.

The loaf wasn't the greatest (bit on the dry side) so I'd skip that in the future but if I'm in the area again I'd consider going back to try the pour over to see if it is...
