Sizzler's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in National Capital District

Sizzlers gets crowded, so be prepared for dishes at the salad buffet to finish quickly during peak times. The food is fair, if abit salty for my taste. We asked for water, and were sold a K10 jug of "infused" water with 3 slices of fruit in it. We juuust managed to pour 10 glasses of water from that jug. So that's K1 per glass of water.

Service varies. Sometimes its good. I asked for tea, and the person offered to go to the bakery next door to buy it for me, as they don't have tea. On another occasion, service was useless. Feb 2024 they closed the salad buffet and turned the lights off on us while we we were still dining. At 0920pm. Without prior advise that service would be ending soon. When I subsequently asked for my meal to be packed (as I hadn't completed it) the server gave the standard "can't pack food from the buffet" line. I had to explain why this...

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. It was convenient as we had family staying at Gateway. Lady manning the till was busy fiddling around with receipts while we stood around waiting for up to 3mins waiting to be served/seated. Not even an acknowledgement of our presence. Eventually got seated and we went for the easy dinner buffet option due to time constraints. It was quite disappointing and certainly not worth the money. Had only one protein selection (curry chicken) and three versions/dishes of potatoes. Took time to have these replenished when they ran out, particularly the chicken. Deserts were stale. Waited for almost 2 hrs for my food because they kept getting my order wrong, I had to ask the lady at the cashier to reprint my receipt for the kitchen staff to get my order right.... Then they advised that they ran out of mash so if I could just have chips which I refused... Eventually food arrived but the steak was not only the wrong portion but it came out cold with little sauce and the mash was dry...
