We went with a group today. I asked whether they had fresh scallops and the waiter pointed the black scallops ceviches. I told him I wanted scallops natural uncooked, and we also ordered a fresh garlic fish. The food we were served was nothing assembled scallops, a bowl of chopped black something. I refused to eat it and asked him to take it back and ordered a real scallop dish instead. When the bill came, the black scallops and the white scallops were both on the bill. The white scallops were twice as expensive as the black scallops, but the manager insisted for me to pay also the black scallops even though i didn’t even touch it and asked the waiter to bring it back and instead bring me a real scallop dish. When i refused to pay, they asked the guide to pay for it. The fish turned out to be deep fried, slightly overcooked even though i asked the waiter over and over not to overcook the fish. I had a pescado del día a la plancha with yuca and onion salad. And the fish just blew my mind, so fresh and perfectly made. I couldn't stop myself and finished it all, even though it was a solid Peruvian portion. The service is excellent, well skilled and kind. Meal preparation take some time though, everything is fresh and prepared on demand. Overall - well...
