I had a great experience at Wayta Posada. The building is set back from the road and protected, so it's one of the quietest places near the Plaza. There are nice outdoor seating areas both in front and back of the house - a welcome refuge from the city. The the decor, with fresh flowers everywhere, is especially home-like and pretty. Breakfast consists of beautifully arranged fruit salads, good coffee, delicious fresh bread, and variety of things (butter, marmelade, olives, cheese) to put on the bread. A small cafe with good fresh food is attached the hotel, which is convenient if you don't feel like going out for other meals. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Huancayo! Read moreWe were given a very warm welcome by the owner & son ( who speaks English), of this B & B. The owner also speaks French. My immediate impression was how nicely decorated this old house was. There were fresh flowers everywhere even in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. Towels were lovely & thick. We had a good and slightly different breakfast each morning with fresh fruit juice & fruit all well presented with nice crockery too. The house is set back from the road and therefore very quiet. The one and only down side for us was that our room did not have an ensuite bathroom but it was not too much of a problem. I would definitely stay here again if ever...
