We were quite inexperienced at choosing a restaurant at Peru for sure. On our first night at Lima, I wanted to try the local Chinese food mainly there is a large Chinese population. I picked this restaurant since it has a google review of 4.5 star and I can walk over from my hotel. I was quite disappointed when I arrived at the restaurant as it did not look like the kind that I was looking for. but I decided to give it a try. The food was mediocre and they came in disposable paper containers: the rice was dry, and the 5 spices pollo salty and bland. three pieces of fried wanton costed 18.90 soles and that seemed overpriced. Many noisy cars passed in front of the restaurant (our table) constantly. Overall, it was not a good...

The attention is the nicest and sweetest! I mean I just got my order to take out but the young guy and girl at the counter were very cheerful and attentive. However, the food is a different story. It wasn't bad, it was just different. I was expecting (in hopes) for the traditional flavor some classic dishes have which is why I ordered them (wantan soup). However, they tasted different. As if they had added more things into it, which probably is great and maybe even better for some people but it was not what I would look for. It's crazy but I definitely would still recommend people to try this place out because they seem to have a new good flavor to classic...

Had a great time and the food was so good. We didn’t have any leftovers so that’s a good thing. The food was fresh well prepared and looked so delicious. Being from the USA and I’ve been to a few good restaurants there and CHW would fit right in there with some of best Chifas I have eaten in.

Monica was so friendly always smiling and felt very comfortable there she was on top of everything from taking care of or table and helping the other customers coming taking orders on the phone she does it all….

Don’t be afraid of trying something new because you will be very happy you did and I’m sure you will writing a great review like I did.

Bon Appetite Enjoy ...

Chifa Hot Wok was one of the few Chifa (Peruvian Chinese cuisine) spots that was open late in the Miraflores district of Lima. It was our first time trying out authentic Chifa food in Peru. The food was good and lived up to our expectations. The portion sizes were generous as well. The mushroom stir fry and 5 spice chicken were excellent. The chicken fried rice was great too. The salsa picante sauce is a must try. Do be warned that it is quite spicy! The service here was friendly and courteous. Would definitely recommend.

American in Lima! This place is AWESOME. Bit of a language barrier but the service was great and we figured it out! We ended up getting something similar to sesame chicken but it wasn’t deep fried like American Chinese food. It was light, sweet and delicious. It was our favorite. We also got chicken and veggies. And the fried rice had great flavor! Definitely better than the American Chinese food we are used to in Florida. Highly recommend. 92 soles or about $25 dollars for a very decent amount of food.

This is a simple hole in the wall chifa outlet. You'll find a few tables and a counter where you can order and buy drinks. The food portion is enormous. You could probably easily split an order of fried rice between two or three people. The food is just short of being great. It needs salt, msg, or more moisture from a sauce. It's so close to being great that it's actually a little frustrating! Prices are terrific for what you get, though. I'd return any time to try another dish.
