This is a magical way to spend an evening if you are vacationing in Lima. Basically it's food, drinks, music, dancing, and horses. I'll break each down. Firstly though, you should know its a fairly small audience. There isnt a bad seat in the house. For the food, I usually don't love a buffet but this one was well run. Because of the way people arrive not all at once, there is never that mad rush, long line feeling. They keep everything fresh and filled. You can stroll up when you like, it's not a problem at all. The food choices had a few things I really liked and a few my date liked. All of it looked good though. Deserts were bite sized and had great choices. Bar drinks were extra and great.
My partner is a ballroom dancer and said several of the dancers were really good. They all looked great to me. There were several dances that stood out. I even got pulled up on stage for one and they were easy on me. No purposeful embarrassing anyone, just fun. Really watch that scissors dance, it was my favorite and completely novel from all the acts I've seen before. The dances showcase the cultural regions of Peru. If you are here on vacation like me it's a fun insight to the country.
I was a little worried though, I thought the show was over and all I'd seen was a fake horse in the corner (I took a selfy with it:-). At the end of the last indoor dance though the entire party moves outside to a stadium. Again not a bad seat here and the area is covered but still outside at night. The show isn't death defying or jumping through fire. It's beautiful costumes, dance, and animals. I really liked it. The best part though is at the end you get to take pictures with the performers horse or human. It was a nice way to end because after all the dances, you feel like you know the performers. You get to walk right up and let them know how amazing they are.
All in all, I'm lucky I found this and I took a night to enjoy the show. It's a magical, fun evening that you shouldn't miss if you...
Read moreGood place to enjoy traditional Peruvian food and view dances from the culture. The whole experience is about 2:30 hours and worth every second. Food is buffet style with a variety of options including classics such as Ceviche and Aji de Gallina. Dessert was also buffet style.
The dances are fun to watch and some are interactive with the customers. I even got chosen to go on stage and dance for part of one of the songs along with other customers. Very nice of them to get us involved in their dancing and culture.
A fun place for a...
Read moreDpaso Hacienda buffet dinner and show is worth every dollar spent. The staff was super friendly and professional, the food very tasty and a good selection of Peruvian cold and hot dishes. The dancers exceeded my expectations, and the last part of the show with the Peruvian Paso horses was incredible. We were a party of 4 and celebrated my mom's birthday. They took a moment during dinner to sing happy birthday to her, and the everyone attending joined in the celebration. I highly...
