China Wok is Peru's version of Panda Express and priced similarly. This location is inside of the Jorge Chavez Airport in the food court area.
Unlike at Panda Express, you can't simply pick and choose what items you want to make a combo but instead have to settle for their pre-chosen combinations. Ridiculous!
As I gazed the hot food line, I was set on a chicken dish that was stir fried with mushrooms and veggies in a dark gravy. As I looked at the menu board in Spanglish, the only combo listed with chicken was a "Mandarin chicken" option, so I order it. I see the girl scoop a selection I didn't want which looked like honey dipped chicken. Ugh. Due to the language barrier, I just pointed to the selection I wanted and made it a 2-item combo. The $10 plate also came with fried rice, little fried sausages, a boneless piece of fried chicken that was oddly shaped into a chicken wing and a soft drink.
The fried rice was dry but I liked the chicken selection I chose as it tasted exactly how I had imagined, savory. I took a couple of bites of the Mandarin chicken which was okay but too sweet for my liking. The sausages were good but the mock chicken wing was pink inside so I tossed it.

OVERALL: I was craving a rice dish but I’d pass on this...

Disfruto mucho...
