Alba Rooftop — Restaurant in Piura

I came to this establishment when visiting family in Peru. The place looks very nice but the service and drinks left much to be desired. The drinks were not cheap and were subpar. A Manhattan which is a simple cocktail tasted like Vermouth with bitters, no whisky. The same can be said about all the cocktails that were made. After bringing this to the attention of the waiter he brought the manager. The manager then proceeded to tell us that the drinks are made with a certain percentage of alcohol and nothing can be changed. Now in the United States normally something like this would be addressed immediately by either remaking the drinks or adding a little more alcohol to them. Anything to help make the experience for the customer a little better. Instead the check was brought to us and was expected to be paid in full without any courtesy or effort made to correct their mistake. In fact, when we complained the manager chuckled. After going back and forth in the end they removed 3 drinks from the bill. We quickly paid to leave to go to another place. This place has much to be desired and I would NOT recommend this to anyone who is looking to have a good cocktail. If you like to be cheated and have a "cocktail" that is juice then you've come to the right place. They've definitely lost any business from me and my family which is a shame because we visit often from the USA and my family...
