This place caters mostly to people on tours. The food is good if you arrive right as they open but after an hour of being there the food is not so fresh. If you come alone, they try to rush you out like the people that come on tours because they only have a certain amount of time to eat. I like to eat very slowly and the waiter kept taking my silverware, so I couldnt continue eating. There are many options of different types of food. The scenery is nice. This place is great if you're on a tour and its part of your package. For over 80 soles, it was a steep price to pay for lunch. It was ok for a one time lunch for me. There was no music, no live music while I was there. As I was walking out of the garden a group of about 6 kids were throwing rocks out into the garden and about hit me. They didn't know I was out there. I let a lady that works there know and she threatened to hit them all. I don't condone hitting anyone...
Read moreWe stopped in with our guide during our Sacred Valley tour in late April 2024. Many people mentioned that this was the second best restaurant in the Sacred Valley after the Michelin starred “Mil” near Moray. It’s set just above the Urubamba river deep in the Sacred Valley. The whole staff was extremely polite and all the food items were great and traditional Peruvian cuisine. They had live music in the back with dancers accompanying the musicians, and it really had a great and welcoming vibe. Next time I’m in the Sacred Valley I definitely will stop in again to try more items and would recommend to any other traveler to...
Read moreThe beauty of the location outshines the food. A gorgeous former hacienda alongside the famous Urubamba River. It's obviously a favorite tourist trap. The building and both indoor and outdoor tables are beautiful. It FEELS like an old Spanish home. The live peruvian pan flute is exactly the right finishing touch. And the food is not bad, which is not to say excellent. They simply feed too many people to make it fine food. The beef loin gravy was tasty but the meat very tough. The alpaca meat was more tender. The salad bar was the best part and the small ceviche was tasty. The dessert rice pudding mixed with blue corn compote, was tasty. A variety of small petit fours was nice too.
So don't go for the food. Go for the view, the building, and the music. Don't forget to walk down to the...
