Honest Review for Kabesera Café, Angono – Mother’s Day Visit
We understand that Kabesera Café just had its grand opening last May 1, and with Mother’s Day being such a busy occasion, we were willing to give some leeway for any operational challenges. However, what was truly disappointing was not just the overwhelming volume of customers, but how this affected the quality of service and food.
We had a reservation for 13 people at exactly 4:30 PM, and were surprised to find no seats or tables prepared for us. Despite our confirmed booking, we had to rearrange the tables ourselves just to accommodate our group. We even took the time to set it up nicely for our planned photo op—something the staff should’ve handled as part of our reservation service.
After we finished setting up, no one approached us or explained the ordering process. We saw other diners being handed menus, so we waited, assuming we would get the same. Eventually, we had to ask around and were only then told that orders needed to be placed directly at the cashier. By this time, the line was already very long. Had someone told us earlier, we could have queued right away. This lack of coordination was frustrating.
We waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food to be served. Again, we understood the delay due to the busy occasion—but what we couldn’t accept was the poor quality of the food, especially for a special set meal meant for celebrating Mother’s Day.
We ordered two Mother’s Day set meals (good for 8 pax each) plus some additional drinks. Here’s our honest feedback: • Sinigang sa Pakwan – This was our first time trying this twist on sinigang, but it was extremely bland. It lacked the signature “asim” and flavor sinigang is known for. It was basically meat and vegetables in plain water. • Bulalo – Like the sinigang, this lacked even basic seasoning—no patis, no salt, no pepper. The vegetables were undercooked,. The meat was thankfully tender, but the broth was just flat. • Laing with Lechon – The laing was okay, but the lechon was almost inedible—too tough to chew and could seriously damage a tooth. • Chopsuey – Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dishes. The vegetables were not properly cooked, and the atay (liver) included was rubbery and unappetizing. • Fried Chicken – This was one of the very few dishes that were cooked properly and enjoyed by everyone. • Beef Caldereta – This was good, but the portion size was small—definitely not enough for a set supposedly for 8 people. • Nachos with Dinakdakan – This had potential but was overloaded with fat instead of meat. A little more protein would’ve made it so much better. • Ensaladang Mangga & Kangkong with Bagoong – These were decent side dishes and didn’t disappoint. • Juice – Far too sweet. We needed water with every sip just to balance it out.
Speaking of water—it was a struggle to even get a glass. We had to ask 3 to 4 different staff members and waited 15–20 minutes just for cold water. That should be basic service, especially for a dine-in celebration.
The saving grace of this experience was your staff member named Dominic. He was the only one who consistently attended to us, offered help, and showed genuine concern. We are very thankful for his efforts.
To be honest, this experience was extremely disappointing for a special occasion like Mother’s Day. We hope this feedback helps your team improve in the future. We truly believe in supporting local businesses, especially new ones, but unfortunately, this visit left a lasting negative impression.
As of now, our family won’t be returning anytime soon—but we hope Kabesera Café can learn from this and do better...
Read moreWe dined in for dinner. We found this cafe through a video vlog and decided to try it. First, to get here you need to enter eastridge subdivision. In doing so you have to pay 100 pesos for 4 wheels and 50 pesos for motorcycles. So here is what we ordered Food: Kabesera bulalo. Drinks: 2x spanish latte hot, 1 french vanilla latte. Food, we were a bit disappointed with their bulalo. First it costs way expensive compared to the one we tried in Tanay. Second the serving size does not do justice to 600 pesos. For the price we can already buy a regular crispy pata some place else. The ingredients like the vegetables are lacking. There should be string beans, cabage and others. What we got was two leaves of cabbage, 1 corn cob then the meat was served on a sizzling plate, which is not sizzling by the way, and some pepper corns. The taste was the normal bulalo but more on the nilaga side of things as the taste is a little faint. Maybe adding a dash more salt would do to a least give it more taste. Thirdly, there is no free refill of the broth. You need to pay 100 pesos for additional broth which is a bit or a rip off given that their serving size was small. So we really are disappointed with the bulalo. We were thinking of ordering appetizers but the cashier said this would come just a few moments before the mains so we opted out. I wish they can do something about the serving times especially for appetizers. Mind you the waiting time is 40-50 minutes and yet the bulalo went cold a few minutes before it arrived at the table. When the food arrived it was already luke warm. Comparing this bulalo from the one we previously had in Tanay, where it is much colder compared in Angono, this one is a big flop. Also the meat could use a bit mor tenderizing. Its tender enough if you like to chew more but we are after the fall of the bone kind of tender. Drinks, the drinks were decent. We got two spanish lattes initially. The coffee and creaminess was in perfect balance and it was not too sweet. We tried a lot of spanish lattes inside and outside metro manila and this one hits the spot for coffee lovers like us. Their french vanilla latte was also spot on, you can really taste the vanilla. Its a bit sweeter than the spanish latte but not that sweet. Service was good, though they need a little bit of coordination on where the customers are. Also, please train some of your staff who talks back to customers saying "tinawag ko na yan kanina eh". The receipt shows where the server should look but the waiter went down in the alfresco area while the customer was waiting in the lower patio near the cashier. But I give them four stars for service because I saw a familiar face from their staff. He helped me with the wifi connection so I was able to perform work while we were there. Atmosphere was also good and I enjoyed their classical music playing. The interiors are nice too. Though be warned, signal is super bad. I dont know why, but in eastridge the signal really sucks. So be patient and upload your photos once you...

We've been here last friday March 29,2024. This place has bad service and expensive meals.
If tipo nyo ang magpicture at kumain, order muna kayo then tsaka kayo magkuha ng pictures, ubusin nyo ung 3hrs na pagaantay kakapicture para sulit ung pagaantay nyo.
I didn't know kung allowed ba sakanila ang outside foods like biscuits para may makain kayo habang nagaantay, ikaw nalang gumawa ng paraan nak para di ka maurat sakanila.
If you like taking photos, maybe you'll enjoy the view here. But if you're hungry, I suggest looking for another café or restaurant. You'll wait for hours for your food, and even if you ask, it might never come. You'll strain your eyes from waiting so long.
My partner and I ordered two coffees (which took an hour to prepare), a pork steak with one plain rice and one garlic rice because they didn't have all-day breakfast.
They didn't inform us that the food would take longer than expected due to a "high volume of guests and orders." We ordered at 1pm to have both breakfast and lunch, but after an hour, only the coffee arrived. The waiter didn't even bring water to our table; I had to ask for it after an hour. Even though there's a 10% service fee, I had to serve the water myself and go to the kitchen to ask for it.
It's somewhat understandable because I heard some of the staff are new, but they should also understand their customers, especially if they know it's crowded and the food will take a while to cook. They should offer complementary meals for the delay, as not everyone came for the view of Rizal. Like us, we came to eat. It's unfortunate for other customers, especially seniors and those with children, who got hungry from the slow service. The staffs are well-mannered pero as a person na gutom na talaga di maiwasang madissapoint :(.
In the end we request a refund for the food and only the coffee nalang ung tinake namin, then bumaba kami. Nagfast-food nalang kami kasi nanginginig na talaga kami sa...
