I usually don’t leave reviews but this one made it exceptional. We brought a cake to their restaurant, and a staff member approached us to inform us that outside desserts were not allowed since they also serve desserts, which we understood. However, she returned to caution us about not wetting the menu, even though it was simply placed in a corner of the table near a cold glass of water. It would have been helpful if they had provided coasters or made the menu waterproof. Additionally, she could have taken the menu since we weren't using it, but the way she communicated with us felt like an attack. It seems like she really has an attitude. Despite the ambiance and food at Brickwood Cafe, Bacoor branch were delightful, the experience was marred by the appalling service provided by “Arbee/Arby” (whatever her name spells that is pronounced with ‘RV’). Her attitude was dismissive, and her incompetence was evident from start to finish. It's unfortunate that such a stellar restaurant employs individuals who tarnish its reputation, especially as a loyal customer who loves their friendly staff. Management should seriously consider reevaluating their hiring process to ensure that every aspect of the dining experience lives up to the restaurant's standards. Unfortunately, instead of having a late celebration of Mother’s day and having a stress-free relaxation night, we lost our appetite and had to take the food out. It’s true that one bad apple can...
Read moreIf you are looking to spend a lot of money for a small portion of food and the ambiance is the only thing that matters to you, brick wood is the place for you.
The price for a cup of rice is outrageous. 70 pesos per cup. We were told that they have revamped the menu. But the old brick wood is better. Before, the portion of the food corresponds with its price. Now, it seems that you only pay for the ambiance.
Their service is nothing special. What I didn't like is when we are skimming through the menu, the server is already at the side of our table. I think if you will base it on ethical standards, they should only stand beside a table if they are called and when the customer is ready to order.
What we had in mind is that at least we won't get to our curiousity and won't be coming back here again.
Will rate the overall experience with 3/10. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious but I don't think if corresponds with the price. Please bring back the...
Read moreBrickwood Bacoor was always our go-to place when we wanted to dine out because their food is consistently amazing, and the staff are usually friendly. However, during our recent visit, a particular staff member stationed at the cashier appeared rude, despite attempting to come across as 'friendly.' She repeatedly approached our table, even though there was already a waiter assigned to serve us. While we could understand if she was training the waiter, her communication and actions were clearly not in line with that purpose. Specifically, she insisted that we should be careful not to get the menu wet. As customers, it seems unreasonable for us to bear the responsibility of keeping the menu dry. Instead, she could have simply asked for the menu back.
I lost my whole appetite. It's such a disappointment that one staff member could ruin the entire experience that was supposed to be a...
