To help shed the light on how shockingly awful this place is, I would have preferred the cooking of my brother and he doesn't even know how to cook an egg. They did not even give us a table. We had to sit ourselves down.
Firstly, their service was detestable. We were told that we were to be seated on a new table once it was available but they completely forgot about us. When we asked to move seats as we saw an empty table, we were told it was reserved but a server told one of my family members that it was a first come first serve basis which contradicts what we were told. They charged us for something that they didn't have in stock. We had to wait forever for our leftover takeout and the quesadilla we ordered that they took too long to serve. They cleared our table without permission which seemed like they wanted us to leave immediately. The staff did not know what they had in stock and had to call the kitchen every time we asked about something on the menu. We tried ordering a mock tail but was told that they did not serve them that night but when we were about to leave a table was served a mock tail. Secondly, the staff kept welcoming customers even though it was obvious that they could not accommodate them. They kept asking customers who were already seated if they could share their tables with others. Lastly, the food was just average. It was not worth the wait. I could have easily made it myself at home or ordered it from somewhere else.
In conclusion my family did not enjoy eating at this place, the service was appalling and it was overcrowded. All in all, our experience here was horrible and we would not recommend this to...
Read moreno longer be limited to San Miquel when in the Philippines (finally craft beer alternatives are popping up and they're good too).
I first heard of and tried Baguio Craft Beer when I was in Cebu 4 years ago, I was there a few days, so visited the pop up stand several times, and whilst they had several beers on tap they were out of stock of their stout & porters, so here I am 4 years later, making a special trip to Baguio to sample their beer (yep you read that correct, we're travelling around the Philippines for a month, and my wife made sure we stopped off in Baguio a couple of days so I could visit the brewery, yeah I know I have an amazing wife!)... so was it worth the wait? yep!
There's two levels, a sampling room with a bar (peer through the glass and you can see the brewery itself), go up a level to the main bigger bar where you can find even more beers on tap and order food (there's a small stage in the corner, but no live music the day we visited), although there was good music playing anyway.
Back to the main event, the beers, you can have tasters of any and all the beers on tap, and there's probably 20 or so to try out, so you're bound to find a few that you like, the staff are very knowledgeable and will chat with you about the beers and there differences and tastes. I prefer porters and stouts, although IPA's and Ales are good too (not a lager or blonde drinker myself). I can't remember the ones I tried on the night, I sampled loads, and had several in the end, to be honest they were all excellent. The food is pretty good too, but I wasn't there for that, the beer for me was the reason to be there, and it...
Read moreWe decided to check out this craft beer brewery while visiting Baguio, as it had great reviews on Google Maps. Given that it was Valentine’s Day, the place was understandably packed, and they seemed short-staffed. Most of the servers were accommodating, but unfortunately, one particular server (the woman who was wearing glasses) was extremely rude.
I have scoliosis, which isn’t always visible but does make seating a challenge. We initially took seats at the bar but asked another server if we could switch to a recently vacated table, and she said it was fine. However, the original server was inexplicably upset about this and told us that, since we were only two people, we had to share our table with others. Meanwhile, we noticed several other couples sitting at four-person tables by themselves. The inconsistency was frustrating.
Despite this, the food arrived relatively quickly given how busy it was. The beer and ribs were definitely worth it, and the cozy atmosphere, along with the live band, made the experience much better. However, we also had an issue with the PWD discount—I handed my card, only to find that they applied the discount to the cheapest item we ordered (the bread), which we didn’t even like. The menu said “breadsticks,” but what we got was more like a corn tortilla—definitely not what was described.
Overall, this place has a great vibe, solid beer, and good food, but the service experience left much to be desired. If management improves staff training and ensures fair treatment for all customers, it would be an easy...
