The museum is great. However, the low rating is for the dining facility, Cafe Sabel. We are a party of 7 and 2 of us, ordered the adobo with salted egg. To my dismay, the said meal was very disappointing and frustrating. The pork adobo tasted so nasty, yucky, and smelly. The meat was not tender & the flavor made me throw up. It tasted like a raw uncooked meat. No wonder, my 6-yr old grand daughter hated it too. The salted egg was also a big joke. Its just 1/4 of the whole egg đ On top of it all, we found a hair strand in the ice cream. We asked for an exchange or refund but the ice cream was the only thing refunded. Corn soup is horrible for starters. Staff said that the corn was blended already. Fresh fruit shakes were too small for their 150 prices, and even the Pancit Sabel at 220 is disappointing to say the least.
Have to agree that after visiting the museum, and the outdoor water area, probably just have coffee in the cafe. But save your money on somewhere else for dining.
Btw, best part of the museum is probably the outside...

it was unplanned but we ended up eating here because the smell of coffee wafted upstairs hahah and it was convenient since there werenât nearby places to eat. i actually didnât know there was a cafe at the BenCab Museum. you can also choose to eat here first before exploring the artwork...
