Food was unexpectedly good. Very good. Sourness of sinigang was uniquely good. Crispy pata was soft and jyucy on the inside but crispy on the surface. Boodle was excellent. Crab was flavorful. Will run out of space if I spill them all. And price was very decent. Two thumbs up.
On service, an usher welcomed us from the parking and radioed our party to the reception who in turn led us to an available cottage and immediately obtained our order. This saved a lot of time and eliminates the 'typical wait for an attendant' dilemma. They also have different attendants for every need, food, water, left over take out, etc. A bit overkill but hey, they are efficient in it.
Ambiance was excellent, open air, not crowded dining area, cottages are far apart, clear horizon, clean surrounding, ample parking, clean rest rooms. Jungle gym was enjoyed by my daughter. She is even requesting for us to come back after Sunday's visit. Huh...
We ate lunch on Saturday and came back Sunday to have lunch...
Read moreAMBIENCE Their wide restaurant has parking both at the left and right ends, dine-in tables with (has fans) and without roofs. A playground for kids is also available (ex: slide and seesaw). It's a good place to visit to have a time-out from long drives.
BEVERAGES I ordered Barako for some strong coffee and enjoyed it with brown sugar. We also had Buko Juice (coconut) that wasn't served cold and was very sweet.
FOOD Binangi na Liempo was a generous serving of pork good for 2 and placed on a cute container. This was good and easy to bite into. Ensalada was our favorite thanks to the super delicious bagoong (shrimp paste) and huge serving of eggplant. We actually might order this vegetable dish again!
SERVICE As soon as we entered the parking lot, staffers were ready to assist us to our table. They seem to coordinate with radios. Service was really fast; grilled food's expected time was 30 minutes and they delivered it...
Read moreAlmost everything in this place is good - more important of which are the taste of the food, the ambience, the price. However, the "portions"/"serving" - especially of the boodle meals - is quite intriguing and "disappointing". The one for 10 people is not really for 10 people and the crink th atA goes with it is not explained to be just sort of a bonus and not good for "10 pax". The sauces that are served with the boodle meals should have names, or maybe once served, the restaurant staff should explain it. One thing more, there should be more wash areas especially at the upper...
