Ceferino's Restaurant — Restaurant in Candon

Well, another all you can eat resto! Let's face it, the quality of the food will never be top notch. I come here about once a month. The food is acceptable for the price. There are some tasty dishes, equally some not so good. The lechon baboy is reasonable and a few of the other dishes are nice. Nothing is hot other than the rice but this is the Philippines and who wants hot food. The eating area; divided into two areas. The first is directly outside the food service area. It's a canteen like area, I don't know why people sit here. I guess proximity to the food. The main hall is a little better. It looks nicer and has separate tables for family get togethers, the view is out onto the main road. I like that the food is served in an enclosed area and has a few members of staff on fly patrol (only in the Philippines). Food is topped up reasonably well. Dishes include; small whole crabs, fish balls, deep fried veg, fish, lechon, the usual filipino fare with accompanying dips and sauces. There is also a selection of salad. Desert is minimal, bibinka and the like. Would I recommend the place, YES! Just don't go with high expectations, and remember, NO LEFT OVERS! A pleasent place to go for lunch. Staff are a bit thin on the ground but are polite and accommodating. A good effort, however I would say, I've been going for a few years and the menu hasn't changed. This place was an eat-all-you-can buffet type of restaurant. I am not impressed with the food served --- the bagnet was cold and chewy, the crispy kangkong was hard, the other food didn't taste so good also. Even the fruits were watery. Anyways, maybe because we came in at dinner, about an hour before they close. But just the same, they should have served better food.
