Kuya Simo's Larangan — Restaurant in Cebu City

We found this place due to a certain food vlogger and expected a delicious and affordable meal. We ordered larang and adobo for take out. Right after we came home, we opened the plastic and was about to transfer it to a bowl when we spotted a large fly in the larang. We immediately lost our appetite and decided to eat the adobo instead. This was when we then found out that another order of fish was given to us instead of abodo. Due to our frustrations, we went back to request for a refund. We really expected that it would be hassle-free since we're the ones inconvenienced by their mistake and improper food handling. This was when the situation turned for the worst when they would not believe that there was indeed a fly in our soup. They believed it was just black beans until they fished it out and checked that it was indeed a fly. They went silent for a moment but did not at least try to apologize. We also asked for a refund for the wrong order they gave us, but instead of simply giving it right away, they made us wait until they figured out who our server was. Mind you, it was already 10 pm and we haven't had our dinner yet. The other woman sheepishly told the cashier to just give us the refund and not make us wait but the cashier was still hesitant to give us a refund, and even acted like it was our fault. Different Larangs, Tinola, Pork Adobo (deep fried), pork, chicken, squid and so much more! Very affordable and great tasting food! Self service. They offer rice or the healthier corn rice. Opens from 6pm onwards. Gets crowded especially from the people coming from work or school, people living nearby or from other places curious or regular diners already! This is one of our most favorite go-to food place especially that they operate late, just right time for us to go after a gig or when hungry at midnight. They serve all-time faavorite larang, tinola, deeply fried and crunchy pork adobo, grilled pork belly, fish, pork barbeque, large chicken leg barbeque.

We really witnessed how this place developed and improved as we've been their regular customer since 3yrs ago.
