PAPABO Adventure Village: A Hidden Gem in Moalboal Nestled in the serene landscapes of Moalboal, PAPABO Adventure Village offers the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and exceptional hospitality. The cozy nipa hut accommodations provide a unique and comfortable stay, complemented by the resort’s clean facilities and friendly, attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. One of the standout features of PAPABO is its authentic Italian pizza, made with a perfectly baked crispy crust and fresh, high-quality ingredients that transport you straight to Italy. This, paired with their top-notch espresso, delivers an unforgettable dining experience—bold, aromatic, and crafted with precision for true coffee lovers. The on-site Sports Bar and Cantina also serve a mix of Filipino and German cuisines, creating a vibrant and diverse menu that delights every palate. Beyond the food, PAPABO Adventure Village offers scooter rentals and a complimentary shuttle service, making it easy to explore the town and nearby attractions. While slightly away from the main spots, the peaceful environment and beautiful sunrise views make it the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. With excellent service, delicious food, and a laid-back atmosphere, PAPABO Adventure Village is a must-visit destination in Moalboal—perfect for those seeking adventure, relaxation, and a taste of Italy in the heart of the Philippines.

We actually did not stay at this property. However, we did dine in at the restaurant. If you’re looking for a bit of an elevated dining experience, besides the local hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. They offer a variety of international foods from European to Asian cuisine. We tried both types of foods and I must say, that they each taste authentic according to its kind. The Restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor dining is air-conditioned. I’m a big coffee fan and I like the fact that they have and make coffee the way they do In Italy! If you miss some German or other European products, this is the place to be. They are also available for purchase. There is also a sports bar adjacent to the restaurant. They offer of variety of alcoholic drinks, and there is also a pool table as well as TV screens if you would like to watch sports. We were warmly welcomed by the owner himself, and had a nice chat with us. The staff was all very prompt and friendly. Though not in the center of Moalboal, It is easily accessible by tricycle or just call the restaurant to have a transfer pick you up. If you are renting a car, there is also parking available right at the premises. I would definitely recommend a stop at this place and would definitely come back for a visit.

Had a very nice lunch at Papabo today. This was our first visit but it won't be our last. I had the cold cuts and cheese platter for one person. There was an excellent selection of cold cuts and cheese. Quantity was enough that I had the hostess pack for take home. My wife and nephew split a lasagna and it was enough to feed them both. The restaurant portion of the business has three tables, each seating four people. I really liked what we ate, and we are looking forward to returning more menu items. Good parking which is normally difficult to find at other places. Prices may be just a bit higher than other places but well worth it in my opinion. Almost forgot to add that the restaurant sells bottles of wine and various gourmet foods. We did not check the rooms or visit the bar.

Very unorganized, bad management, encountered multiple issues from beginning to end of stay. I am usually easy going and pretty patient but this place is causing lingering issues for us even after we’ve check out over 2 hours ago.

We arrived around 7-8pm to the property very tired from our long travels and were hoping to get some rest asap since we planned a long day the next day. Upon arrival, there wasn’t anyone in reception to check us in. Sheila was able to assist us after some time but let us know our room isn’t ready yet. We were asked to wait and so we got some food and drinks at their restaurant since there was a rock band performing (the band was phenomenal and was the highlight of the stay!). Sheila finally checked us into our room around 10pm and then told us she doesn’t have a key for us.. we were told that our things and dog were safe in the room and to continue enjoying the music. This left us feeling uncomfortable as we had all our valuables and our pet pug in the room. Also there were dirty clothes left in the room hanging from the previous guest. All throughout the night, we had to take turns walking up and down the hill to check on our belongings and dog since we could not lock it. I voiced to Sheila that we really need a key and Sheila even asked if it’s ok we get a key the following day but we let her know that would be unacceptable. It felt our safety and concerns weren’t a priority and they were focused on partying and enjoying the music. I was pretty shocked when Sheila asked me to go check the grass area and the grounds to search for their missing key. Around midnight, Sheila had a quick conversation with the owner and was able to give us a key instantly (which should have been done initially on the spot) so we all prepared for bed since we had a 7:30am pickup for scuba diving. Unfortunately the music kept blasting (and even got louder) until almost 2am.

The room was fine but keep in mind it’s open air and there’s no mosquito nets provided so we all got bites every night. Bathrooms are shared and had a strong urine smell from the open trough style urinal all the time. Lots of various types of birds on the property caged so be prepared for tons of bird noises all the time.

Again the morning of check out, there wasn’t anyone in the reception to assist us and we were in a rush to return our rental car and catch a flight. I found the owner and asked him to check us out. He said he would need to double check that everything has been settled so we waited as he went to the kitchen to check their system. He came back and confirmed everything is ok for us to check out. After about 2 hours on the road, Sheila messaged me that there’s a remaining balance in the kitchen. I explained the owner double checked for us but she said she closed it out and printed a receipt to present to us. Apparently we were only charged for our drinks and not our food from the first night mess. I explained we’re too far to turn back to cover the 1,310 pesos bill for our pizza and nachos. The owner took time to double check everything for us that morning and we were already late. Sheila’s asking us to figure out a bank...
