Moalboal Eco Lodge was a fantastic place to stay and I love everything about it, it’s just the perfect place to spend some quality time with your partner, friends or family. Angie and Simon, the owners made us feel welcome from start to finish and went out of their way to make our vacation a special one. Here is a small summy of our experience a the Eco-lodge: Bungalows: Cozy and comfortable bamboo bungalows, beautifully styled and with the most amazing outdoor shower. Bare in mind this is the Philippnes and you don’t expect much from the shower but not only did it have one (that itself is pure luxury) but the shower pressure was great! In each bungalow there is a reusable bag to use during your stay and also water bottles that can be refilled. Drinking water is unlimited, so is wifi. There is a fan and a mosquito net but in all honesty, the bungalow is so breezy and nice that we rarely used the fan. Room are superclean and look brand new. Location: The eco-lodge is just enough away from the hustle and bustle of Panagsama but close enough to walk, ride your scooter (they will arrange one for you)or grab a tricykle. Junge-vibes, closeness to nature, a beautiful field with baby goats closeby….whats not to love. It was one of our favorite places during sunset, there is a huge hammock deck so we just grabbed a beer and enjoyed the beautiful sorroundings and ambiance. Staff/Service: Like I mentioned, the owners are absolutely beautiful people and they of out of their way to make your stay there special. They will answer any questions you might have AND help you organize activites and give you the best food advice. We did the canyoneering with their own tour guide and had an absolute blast! Also, both owners are nature lovers and can give you tons of information about marine conservation, sustainable lifestyle and so on. Angie even makes her own plastic-free beauty products that are amazing for your skin and kind to nature. They have tons of fun little things you can puchase as a souveneer or for yourself. Food/drinks: Breakfast was lovely, eggs and toast was delish! There is also beer for purchase. Simon (who’s a great chef) makes the yummiest vegan chili, can turn the biggest carnivore around 😊 Overall: Such a nice, affordable, unique place in Moalboal. We couldn’t be happier to have stayed there, do not miss out on...

Read moreAsked for a double room. Lodge owner said they are full and asked me if I would book a family room for higher price with discount. I booked it. The so called family room turn out to be a dorm with two bunk bed and the toilet outside the room. Location is quiet compared with the seashore hotels but don’t expect you could enjoy a silent night as there are neighbors playing music til late late night. Asked for a mosquito net at the first day. Lodge owner said there is no mosquitoes. Got bitten by mosquitoes all night long as a result and couldn’t sleep. Lodge owner kindly put on a mosquito net for us after I ask again. As I visited there at a dry season, fresh water is not abundant. Lodge owner advise us to keep our shower time short. Booked a Osmena Peak tour through the lodge. So disappointed that the driver picked us late and finished the tour earlier than promised. To be fair, it’s not the lodge’s problem but beware of any prepaid tour. Check out is smooth. Just curious that the lodge owner check very carefully every bed of the dormy. Not a poor experience as a whole. Not a...
