Avenue Grill is an institution of sorts when you're looking for a place to eat in Cotabato.

Once there, you will be asked where you wanna be seated--the grill place or the steaks and burgers place.

We opted for the grill. They serve fish amd chicken that are halal (which means food preparation, including the slaughtering of such animals, follows the Islamic law).

My favorite is their grilled chicken that's juicy with hints of ginger (a common ingredient in Mindanao food). I paired it with their garlic rice that is very buttery! You should also try their fried and grilled catfish or hito.

Grilled hito is tastier than fried, since no breading is added. They also serve papaitan, a famous Ilocano soup dish made from meat innards.

This resto utilizes an open space, which makes the place relatively covid-safe.
