Read moreWith all the ongoing road repairs along Aguinaldo highway, Tagaytay food trip seemed to be not a great idea for the mean time if you're from Dasmariñas, Cavite. Good thing there's a nearby cafe to hang out without having to torture yourself with all the traffic you're about to face if you dare travel to Tagaytay from Dasmariñas.
Tinatangi Cafe offers what most Tagaytay cafes offer (maybe minus the view but I tell you this place has the Tagaytay vibe and literal chill if you're at the Veranda area). The place is spacious and can accomodate hundreds at a time.
The garden, tree house, swing, birdcages with lovebirds and cockatiels worked well for my preference. It has a cool, relaxing chill vibe for couples, families and big groups.
Queueing for your food order may take 30 mins to an hour so line up immediately when you arrive here (head straight at the counter/cashier before you wander around), then another 30 minutes or so before your food is served so anticipate the delays and keep your patience.
Btw we arrived at 6:15 pm on a Saturday night, queued at 6:30pm, paid by 7:12 pm, food served by 7:35pm.
Budget: 500-600 per person can already get you a meal, drink and dessert.
We ordered the ff (I'll rate it): Triple threat- 8/10 Matcha- 6/10
Pork sisig - 7/10 ( you'll need extra rice if you're an above average eater) Creamy pesto- 8/10 (great serving, got full with this in fairness) Chicken Alfredo - 6/10 ( I hope they'll improve the seasoning on this one, kinda bland)
Matcha cheesecake - 7/10 ( right sweetness for me, not sweet at all) Oatmeal cookie - 6/10
P.s.hopefully they'll add one more restroom area since there's only one given this place is quite big. I'll just commend the restroom because it's clean, has a working flush and the soap dispenser has an actual soap in it and the best part is that it's...
Read moreDear Tinatangi Cafe Management,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the experience my companions and I had at your establishment yesterday (between 2:00–3:00 PM). We were seated at the al fresco area just outside the cafe.
After borrowing a menu, I proceeded to place our order. To my surprise, one of your lady baristas looked at me, then completely ignored my attempt to order and instead resumed chatting with her colleagues. At the time, there were about 5 to 6 staff members present. I made eye contact with several of them in hopes of being acknowledged or assisted, but unfortunately, I was ignored by all.
I tried approaching the other side of the cashier area to get assistance, but still, no one was willing to help. After about 1–2 minutes of standing there awkwardly while the staff continued their casual conversation, the same barista who initially ignored me finally addressed me—only to inform me in a rather dismissive tone that they were already on cutoff and that I had to place my order at the cashier on the second floor.
This kind of behavior was not only rude but also highly unprofessional. I believe customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of internal protocols.
To make matters worse, I witnessed some of your male staff members engaging in inappropriate behavior—catcalling female customers and asking for their Facebook profiles after these customers had helped them take photos. This is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and take the necessary actions to improve your staff’s professionalism and behavior. Your cafe has a lot of potential, but incidents like this can easily ruin a customer's perception...
