Hitolicious Place — Restaurant in Davao City

We keep coming back to this restaurant mainly because of their fried hito—it’s always cooked perfectly, never soggy or overdone, and the flavor is consistently spot-on. It’s one of those dishes you can rely on any day of the week. Ordering is also a breeze since they accept phone orders and have delivery, which makes it super convenient when you just want good food without the hassle of going out. The prices are reasonable too, definitely affordable and about the same as what you’d expect from other nearby eateries, so it feels like you’re getting good value.

Now, I don’t often see people actually dining in, probably because the place is right along the highway. It can get pretty smoky and dusty outside, plus the noise from passing vehicles doesn’t exactly make for a relaxing vibe. That said, I did notice they’ve set up an enclosed, air-conditioned area already, which is a big step up if you want to enjoy your meal on-site. We took a taxi ride going to Bangkal, Davao City which is too far from our home (7km far)..Before, i ordered Hito(Catfish) from Grab "Deep Fried Catfish and Roated Catfish( Lechon Hito)" so i tasted it and it was really good. First off, there was a bit of a delay in waiting for the food, the food was mediocre at best, the butter chicken being a bit salty and raw inside, and the sisig doesn't really have enough flavour, the hito was alright, which is a food highlight of the meal. The atmosphere is okay at best, but the chairs and tables could be a little more consistent when it comes to the design. The service is best here, and the servers were really kind and respectful.

Overall, it was not really the best dining experience I have, but I think I got my money's worth from the food...
