Mandarin Tea Garden — Restaurant in Davao City

Service in the Philippines is a hit and miss affair. Largely miss. And so it was here. Walked in. No greeting. No staff. Had to get myself some menus from the front desk and find a seat. When a staff member finally appeared she dragged her feet and made everyone know she really didn’t want to be there. The only bright point was the chef who delivered one dish directly to the table, presumably because the waitress couldn’t be bothered. This is not a complaint about the staff - it is a complaint about the management. Unacceptable.

Food was okay, but the “Iced Tea” is to be avoided at all costs. It turned out to be a Lemon Iced Tea Slushie and it was as disgusting...

This is my first time eating at this branch and the experience was really okay. I was immediately assisted by a service crew and my order came within 10 minutes. Always asking for noodle soup, the serving here was way better than other branches. The meat was plentiful than what I often get, the soup tastes better and the noodles were cooked nicely.

This branch is divided in 2 areas, the first is visible from the mall hallway while the other one is visible from the nearby street.
