Ihawan sa Caoayan — Restaurant in Ilocos Sur

Slow service, said they were out of many dishes, tried to upsell a combo with okra and kamote and Tilapia, when my cousin only wanted the combo with okra and kamote, said it was sold out. It is similar ingredients, just different methods of cooking, they said they couldn't sell them the combo advertised because they couldn't cook it differently,

Asked for soy sauce/calamansi sauce without chili, they gave it anyway with chili. Asked for water, not cold, said they don't have it. Gave it cold anyway. Service was slow and uncaring. The initial waiter didn't wait for us to order initially, making it take longer to order. And the sisig was mediocre and had a lot of fat, not much meat really. Live music was the best part, if not the only good part, even if the waiter took a long time to give me a pen and paper to write my song request down as well.

If you happen to be traveling/touring around Vigan, this is a good place to replenish your energy thru food. Although its location is in Caoayan Ilocos Sur, this restaurant is just few minutes away from the Vigan Central plaza. They offer a lot of food such as seafood, fish, pork, vegetable. And if you are into Boodle Fights, this is the place for you. They also have a cafe for Coffee lovers. They also offer livebands at night but not sure if its available all thoughout the week or just thru weekends. Downside would be public transportation, if you will stay late I suggest that you make arrangement with the tryke that brought you there. But if you have your car, then...
