3rd Gen Glory's Cafe — Restaurant in Iloilo City

Utterly disappointed with the food and service. For the service, I am a PWD card holder with an orthopedic disability from an accident. They correctly deducted the VAT, gave some PWD discount (wasn’t even 20% of the single dish I bought, even if divided into two servings), then…re-added the VAT??? I complained of course but the staff said “sorry sir, amo gid na sa POS namon” yet I have NEVER experienced this in any other establishment wherein they add VAT again, post-discount. My single order of their “creamy carbonara” went from P395 to only P360-something. Talk about a PWD discount.

Then comes the “crunchy carbonara”. Halos wala gidya sang carbonara nga sabor. Daw pasta noodles lang gna kaon ko. It is almost void of flavor. It claims to include bacon and ham pero daw mga less than 5 pieces nakita ko. Dako man sang portion pero kung wala man lang sabor kag gamay2 lang ang toppings and cream, ano ang pulos sang kadakuon sang serving? Presyo nila ala Bread Basket yet ang quality indi man katunga sa pricing nila.

Not coming back here ever again kung amo man lang ni quality sang product...

The place was nicely renovated, before it was just an old house with some construction equipment on it. It used some of the remains of the old house as a table or a decoration which i found quite interesting and nice. It give the place a nice touch of history.

It was my first time to try out this heritage cafe in Iloilo City, although at one of its branches. I got interested and ordered the sansaw, a mix of coconut milk, muscovado sugar, and tapioca pearls, which is like a local take on milk tea, and found it to my liking. The ambiance was cozy and there was a history corner which showed photos of the original site of the coffee shop which still stands today at the market area. I will definitely visit...
