This is what a typical local restaurant in a coastal road of Iloilo looks like. The anbiance is nice especially if youre seated on the sea side. The sea doesnt smell which is a good sign of a clean water and surpsingly no flies present.
The food... its a mix for me. Ive been here three times and the food is not consistent. The pork inihaw is typical, pork sisig is just fine (we orderd this before and it was nice, now im not sure), the bangus sisig tho is amazing as well as the native chicken adobo. The tuna sinigang is good as well a little bit sweet similar to Manam's watermelon sinigang without the watermelon. The butter garllic shrimp tho arrived too late so we have that on take out. I was disapointed with the oyters (talaba) both the steam and baked talaba was dry especially the steam it looks like it was overcooked and was sitting on the shelf for a long time. The buttered chicken is okay as well. We spent atleast 4,400 php for all orders including drinks, 2 plater rice and a halo2. Which is not bad for 10 persons.
Its difficult to get here by commute since no PUJ passes here. Parking space is wide so i dont think youll have a hard time parking even during peak hours.
Staff are okay some are friendly some are just fine. Food served after 30mins upon order.
I forgot to take pictures but theres no special...
Read moreI dunno for me the food is a bit of a hit and miss. The pantat we ordered was delicious but that's about it. The talaba that was given to us were DRY and when it arrived in our table it wasn't even reheated. The portions of the fish sinabawan were so small, just a few cut fish meat here and there.
Plus, the service took soo long. We were already hungry and yet our order arrived 30 minutes or so later. Honestly I heard a lot of raving reviews about this place but overall I was disappointed. Oh, and we ordered to servings of baked talaba and we were served only one and yet we were charged two servings. So we had the bill computed again.
The waitress wasn't friendly at all, didn't even say thank you when my dad gave her a tip. Will we come back? Uhm probably not. There are other seafood places that are worth it (taste and price-wise)...
Read moreThis is not an "atmosphere" place. Though we liked that it was a huge bamboo structure and the wind blew freely inside so it was not hot at all. Food: If you like garlic you got to get the Garlic Chicken Overload. OMG....I was in garlic heaven. Don't wear anything you don't want stained for life. It won't come out. The garlic chicked was just AMAZING. Huge portion enough for 2 - 4 people. We also ordere steamed oysters and it was very reasonable and the oysters were okay but overcookedf. We ordered the cheese scallops and got about 18 scallops and they were super fantastic. Our bill was less than 1200 for everything including 2 San Migs. We will be here every time we come to Iloilo which is often because I am American and need to visit Immigration...
