An impromptu Sunday bike ride with close friends coming from different parts of the city ended up with having breakfast in this restaurant near the Iloilo Airport.
To replenish the calories burned in the 20 kms or so distance travelled (1way) we ordered their specialty, the native Chicken tinuom, deep fried pork belly, double rice and brewed coffee.
The specialty, native chicken tinuom soup is a complete dish on its own. Choice cuts of native chicken flavored with select aromatics, wrapped in a banana leaf and served in a claypot.
An order is good for 1 person, so we ordered 3 and soon enough as it was served, we were slurping at pace faster than we could bike.
The fried pork added to the gastronomic delight as it was dipped in native ilonggo vinegar (sinamak), the pork skin crunchy sounds soon interplayed with the slurping.
As soon as breakfast was done the coffee served sure hit the spot. The day's biking activities was reviewed and the next destination was soon finalized.
We could have stayed longer to ponder more but the sun was rising high and a handful of exercise buffs-joggers and bikers alike plus airport bound passengers were now filling up the resto.
Besides, we had another 20kms to pedal to be able to reach home and be with family for the midday Sunday worship services.

If you've never been to Iloilo then go. Just for this. Fly in fly out anyway this place is 2 minutes from the airport. Literally. You can walk to your flight from here. The airfare will be worth it.
