Hidden Tapsihan Main — Restaurant in Kawit

We visited the place more than a year ago sometime in April of 2018. The staff weren't really interested in serving us, they were more focused on tinkering with their mobile phones. We were standing at the counter for a minute or so but my wife had to physically tap one of the waitresses on the shoulder in order to get her attention. There were also two more staff members who were asleep at a nearby table in full view of everyone in the tapsihan. They were also grumpy despite the fact that we were the only customers there at that time (myself, my wife, our daughter) so the place wasn't busy or crowded at all. There was also the issue of the overpowering stench coming from a nearby imburnal, and the toilet was filthy and not well-maintained. In fairness, there was a gracious middle-aged gentleman with white hair (who we suspect to be connected to the tapsihan's owner/owners in some capacity because the staff were suddenly at attention when he walked into the tapsihan) who directly instructed the staff to attend to us, he even brought some of the food that we ordered to our table and apologized for the slow service. Tapa is good. Tasty and so easy to chew even if its not the usual shredded beef. Their suka is also good but on the sweeter side, really prefer a little bit sour. We asked for the free soup, but its already spoiled and taste like wet table cloth so we just push it aside.

We went there in the morning, and its not their busy hour and you know that their fried rice and tapa is reheated. The only fresh cooked was the egg.

Overall rating: good but not great. Will we come back? Probably, but...

They still have a great tasting Tapsilog! After few years of not coming back to the place I missed the vibes.

Motorcycle parking is available right inside the small entrance of the restaurant.

Cars can park on the street somewhere. Maybe few meters away coz Hidden Tapsi's neigbores are not very friendly with customers and placed a no parking signs in front of their houses.
