Benjarong Mactan — Restaurant in Lapu-Lapu

I have not been to a lot of Thai restaurants in Cebu but Benjarong stands ahead and beyond the ones I have tried. It was an amazing experience overall. From the warm, gracious and topnotch service from all the staff, the gorgeous view of the sea as a natural wallpaper for you to marvel at while eating to the scrumptious food they blessed us with. Each dish we ordered were fresh, flavorful and filling. We cant find any fault in any of them and just ended up blurting out "mmmmms" and "oooooohs" out of delight.

Benjarong also likes adding a little touch of drama to the dining experience from their color-shifting welcome drink to their smoky amuse-bouche. They were not only visually impressive but tasted amazing as well. Everything else that followed were a masterful showcase of Thai cuisine. We absolutely loved our experience at Benjarong. Zero complaints. First restaurant in Cebu (and one of the few in the whole Philippines, I daresay) with truly world-class service. As soon as you visit, you’ll understand. It gives me hope for Western-standard service being executed in our country.

Food is hands down the best Thai in all of Cebu. I can safely say I’ve tried all of the Thai restaurants in town, and there simply isn’t any comparison. It’s the only one that’s authentic through and through.

Their Thai chef made his rounds, checking up on each table. We beamed and told him the food was spectacular. Of course it’s not exactly like Thailand, but I would consider this Cebu’s closest.

Crispy catfish salad wasn’t available, so I will have to come back for it! However the tom yum, pad thai, green curry and sticky rice were superb. Chef’s kiss 🤌🏽

I had the pleasure of dining at Benjarong at Dusit Thani, and I can confidently say—it’s the best Thai restaurant I’ve experienced so far. The flavors were authentic, vibrant, and truly unforgettable. I had the Pad Thai, and it was absolutely wonderful—rich in taste, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented.

To complement the meal, I tried the Peach Perfect mocktail, and it truly lived up to its name—refreshing, balanced, and simply perfect. I ended my meal with the classic Mango Sticky Rice, and it was love at first bite. The mango was sweet and fresh, and the sticky rice was just the right texture.

The ambiance, service and flavors all came together for an amazing dining experience. The Staff are amazing, Alvin (Restaurant staff) he makes sure that I was taken care of. I’ll definitely be coming back for more—Benjarong is...
