We tried lumpiang shanghai, pansit and fried salmon. Food is good and it satisfies our hungry tummy. The staffs are courteous and friendly. Serving was fast as earlier customers already left when we arrived at 6pm. Our original plan is to go to another restaurant but we noticed that it’s crowded and so we decided to go to White House Bistro. The restaurant is clean and observing social distancing and government minimum protocols for COVID-19. If you want to go back in time and relax a bit, this would be a good choice.

My visit to White House Bistro on March 18, 2023, was driven by the allure of the charming old stone Spanish-style house. However, I must admit that my dining experience left much to be desired. I had ordered the Sinigang na Salmon with high expectations, hoping for a beautifully presented dish. Unfortunately, it arrived looking more like food scraps than a thoughtfully crafted meal. The soup lacked the richness that makes Sinigang memorable – that perfect balance of sourness, fruity notes, and a hint of salt that Filipino taste buds crave. While the ambiance and the setting of the place are undeniably nice, my less-than-satisfactory dining experience makes me hesitant to return. Sometimes, the exterior beauty doesn't always match the culinary experience within.

The family run restaurant is in a charming historic house in the heart of Liliw. More than just a restaurant, this is a place where visitors and locals alike socialize and make friends, because of the welcoming atmosphere created by Chris amd Merian, the family that lived in this house and now open it up to others. All that without mentioning the food, which was the most delicious food I have eaten in the last 3 weeks in the Philippines.

White House Bistro 1938 has already become a must-visit restaurant in Liliw. The structure just attracts any first-timer because of its heritage house look, with a welcoming patio typical of rich Filipino clans’ ancestral houses. Common Filipino cuisines are served. Must-try: Bistek Kalabaw and Ginataang Kalabaw!

An overrated resto. Food is average, their best seller sinigang na baka was dissapointing, beef was not fresh. Pako salad was good though. Overall, food portions were small, a bit expensive. Staff were pleasant but not attentive.

Travel back in time with this historic restaurant in the heart of Liliw. Their food is excellent. Service is fantastic and ambience is top notch. There is also a pasalubong alley right beside it. Definitely a must in Liliw.
