Emiliana’s Grill and Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Baños

COMPLAINT

I have just dined on this restaurant this day, 08/01/23 together with my family. As we got the bill and presented me and my sister's senior ID, there has been a 20% SD provided but had not less 12% VAT. Hence, I have questioned not deducting it on our share of bill. There was this so called owner AS SHE CONFIRMED WITH ME AFTER ASKING HER NAME DUE TO HER ARROGANT RESPONSE SAYING THEY DON'T HAVE 12% ADDED VAT ON THEIR PRICE MENU . I was so surprised on her reaction and had an exchange of words with her! Is this a decent mannered owner to treat a customer after adding income on their business thinking I was just questioning on the 12% VAT?! REALLY?!!!

THERE WERE COUPLE OF TIMES I HAVE DINED IN TOGETHER WITH MY FAMILY ON THIS RESTAURANT AND IT IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SUCH AN ATTITUDE WITH AN OWNER AND THIS IS SO APPALLING !

EVEN THREATENED NOT TO DINE IN AGAIN! REALLY?!!!! THIS KIND OF PERSON IS NOT THE OWNER I GUESS CAUSE NO WELL MANNERED AND EDUCATED OWNER WOULD...

Me and my colleagues had a nice time visiting Laguna as it was one of our much awaited get away since the pandemic broke out. So we were there for just a night at some hot spring resorts. Before going home, We asked the host about where can we buy food either for dine in or delivery, and Emiliana's Grill and restaurant was their number 1 recommendation. They never failed us as the food are, I have to say, so good. I love their beef broccoli. The price is just okay for its quality. I think that if you will be ordering for a large group, then you may need to extend your patience since it may take time. I think we were waiting about half an hour before we finally were able to eat. Worth the wait though, I promise. Ambience is fine. Not much decorations but its just fine as it is. They have picture worthy spots outside if you want to...

3.5 Stars but google doesnt allow halves.

Pros: Food is good (not extraordinary but good) Prices are reasonable. A bit lower than what I expected Neat place with air-conditioning Serving time is reasonable.

Cons Parking doesnt have lines so some cars tend to take more space than they should (I had no choice but to park at an awkward angle because the first cars took wider spaces than they should.) Table height is higher than it should be, or maybe the chairs are lower. I was politely asked by the waiter to park my car properly when the other cars left, but I was in the middle of a meal with my wife and there are 3 vacant slots already and no incoming guest (around 1:45pm), so i declined. Waiters were on their phones by the time we were leaving (2:15pm)
