My partner and I went to San Mateo Rizal for purchasing of ebike, since nandun na kami we searched for a good spot to eat our meal. Galing pa kaming Taguig and that's our first time in the City. Bikers Cafe is one of the recommended which I chose because of the overlooking view but the unprofessionalism of the staffs made me rate it to 1 star.
We ordered boneless bangus and sisig as our meal. They wrote the table number in our ordered sheet. The moment we sat on our chair, one of the staffs served us a Guyabano Shake which I declined saying na it's not ours so she went somewhere else. After a while they served us a meal, which is a sisig and what I thought was a bangus. I asked the lady who served the meal if bangus yon and she clearly agreed. Ang tagal non nasa table namin at hindi namin kinakain because we like the scenery and nag kwekwentuhan kami, when I ate my meal doon ko lang napansin na pork ang kinakain ko.
I stopped. As someone who is not that familiar with dishes I ate it out of ignorance but the taste is different to what I expect as a bangus. Pinatikim ko sa partner ko and hindi nga siya bangus, hindi na kami kumain ulit when all of the sudden, we heard someone followed up their order and it happens na yung naserve samin ay yung order nila, they switch a table. They were on our table before we arrived.
Pumunta yung isang matandang lalaki na nasa cashier sa kitchen nila to follow up, sinundan ko lang ng tingin yung lalaki. Doon na ako nakaramdam, hindi na kami kumain ulit ng partner then biglang someone from the kitchen shouted, "Kinain nila?" Looking at us. Tiningnan ko lang siya. Of course we did because you served it.
They talked to us in a rage saying na we must pay the right amount of our meal. Yun agad ang naging concern nila samin, hindi yung maling sinerve nila. They did it while we are supposed to be still eating. Nakipagsagutan ako because I already paid for what we ordered (Pay as you order sila) plus tinanong ko pa yung nag serve kung bangus yon at umoo siya and it's not our fault if may internal problem sila. The old lady from the cashier insisted but I declined until one staff said na kainin na lang daw namin at kakausapin na lang nila yung nagserve.
I lost appetite on how they approach and respond to the problem of their business. Hindi namin inubos ang meal and we left without looking back at them. Hopefully someday, be more professional in handling your business problem. It's not the customer's fault. Fix...
Read moreJust at the bend before bikers attempt the very steep climb. Lots of parking on the side for both cars, bikes and motorcycles.
Lots of nipa huts and open tables under the shade of trees- they're open by 7am
We were there on a cloudy, rainy afternoon with 26 Celsius weather in May 2022. The chicken Mami is really good and costs only P45! We also tried the clubhouse sandwich at P140 and brewed coffee at P50. The view is really further up at the area of Amiya Raya....but this is a comfortable and very affordable, family-run outdoor cafe. If you're in the area - take a stop at the...
Read moreThe closest to me, even closer to my heart. If you are from San Mateo, Rizal, you are missing this great spot if you have not been here yet. Overlooking plus their brewed coffee is to die for. It's a Starbucks Verona brewed coffee, indeed. You got the right food and peace in this place. I come here from time to time especially when I need to be alone and I am on a budget. I love this place. It's just like a walk in the park to come here. You will even burn some calories as it is a bit steep to go up from Kambal Road. Perfect...
