Ningnangan — Restaurant in Luzon

Well, as with other branches of Funnside Ningnangan, the food is a bit pricey (depending on what you choose to have cooked) and how it's cooked depends on you. We went there in a group of 4 people and our bill was around Php 1,000-1,300 (with some senior discount). We ordered their Bulalo (which was, in my opinion, good while the soup was still hot), we had a few prawns cooked in garlic and butter style (which turned out to taste very sweet), a tilapia, pako salads and a fish and veggies with "buro" plate and some rice. It's an open area so it's really hot in the summer despite fans.

Cooking time varies from acceptable to too long.

I think they should have a designated person to shoo away the flies from their raw meat selection. It's unappealing and unappetizing too see so many flies feeding off/landing on the food you or the next person might unknowingly choose to...

Nice ambiance with a traditional looking place to eat! They have these fresh meats or seafood to choose from for them to cook while you wait and a variety of dishes to satisfy our hunger. Just be aware that the price is per 100grams so the amount that you’ll will depend on the weight of your preferred meat. When it was my first time, I was surprised that a whole salmon head costs P450+, so we changed it to salmon belly instead since it’s only for 2 persons and the price is only P240 but in a humongous bowl. It was late when we arrive because my friend and I came from a burial visit yet the staffs there served very friendly & courtesy. Food is ok, prices are somewhat higher now (due to inflation) BUT

Absolutely DISHONEST service! We picked up TWO pieces of liempo as part of our meal, it was weighed and counted and paid for, and when the food came to our table, there's only ONE portion of it.

We tried to bring it up but they insisted that it was two portions. We didn't push the matter further because it was meant to be a simple, fun outing and the stress would have just ruined the night.

My suggestion if you still want to eat at a place like this, be sure to record/take a picture of your order as it is being weighed and counted so you have evidence if you want to dispute the servings. Nakaka dismaya lang na dadayain ka pa nila sa maliit na...
