ARL Resto & Jazz Bar — Restaurant in Malaybalay

Nice neighborhood restaurant vibe, but frustratingly, several menu items listed were "not available." And as for drinks, waiter said only pineapple juice in a can was available. Ugh! This is a restobar located in a barangay within Malaybalay City, and not a secluded, rural spot. No excuse for not having soft drinks or beer on-hand. Ordered calamares as an appetizer, which was crispy but slightly chewy. The beef tapa was flavorful but overcooked and tough. The battered chicken was good, with the exception of one drumstick being undercooked (photo posted). Can't tell you how the cream of corn soup tastes, as it was never brought to our table and had to be subtracted from the bill. Quite nice. Good for family since it's affordable and the serving is in big portions. I just hope they could improve how the food taste. Calamares is so good however tinola is bland with lots of soup, the sinugba and bbq is too hard to chew, so that was a let down 😢 but manong the server is...
