Giligan's — Restaurant in Muntinlupa

I recently visited Giligan’s and had a mixed experience.

Food:

Crunchy Sisig – This has always been my favorite at Giligan’s. The flavor is still delicious, but in this branch, some parts were so fried that they were hard to bite—almost like your teeth might break!

Beef Kare-Kare – It was average in taste but generously served with vegetables. The bagoong on the side was flavorful and complemented the dish well.

Fried Garlic Chicken with Gravy – This used to be a favorite of mine and my friends about 20 years ago. Sadly, it didn’t live up to the memories. The gravy was bland, and the chicken had more bones than meat.

Ambiance: The place was clean and well-maintained. It had a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.

Service: The staff were polite and attentive, though service was just okay—professional but not particularly warm or outstanding.

Overall: Giligan’s still serves decent food, but this visit didn’t fully meet my expectations. Some favorites have declined in quality, though the sisig remains tasty (if a little hazardous for your teeth!). I'd return, but probably skip the...

The food is good and there is a very wide array to choose from. Some would even say too wide, as it can be daunting to browse the thick menu, unless you're the sort who's very firm about what you like. But the effort is simplified by the well organized classifications — meat, seafood, veggies, drinks, etc. Fare is mainly Filipino-Western standards.

Service is adequate, but expect it to suffer somewhat at peak hours, as is usual in any restaurant. I've never eaten here at peak lunch hours, but I've been here during dinnertime, and the place is usually only...

Very POOR service especially the manager himself. We ordered buko shake and he even repeated what we said and then more than 20 minutes later, we followed up the order only to hear from the other waiter that they don't have buko available. The manager then denied getting a buko shake order from us. What poor attention to detail! And his attitude didn't help at all. Instead of being customer-centric and offering alternatives, he continuously denied getting the order. We are NEVER eating...
