03/19/24 - dinner service but not many people— I had to seat myself; that was fine. I told them i’ll sit outside. They didnt even give me a menu, i ended up taking the one menu that was on display at the door. I asked if a soup was available. Manager said she’d check. She checked. Came out and said it’s available. So i said, great! Ill have that and just two other orders and a drink. She REPEATED OUR ORDER. I confirmed. Got the two orders first, the drink last and i waited for the soup (that i think should have been served first, imo.) i wait for the soup.

No soup. So tried to get their attention by swinging my arm for 5 minutes. Everyone was just passing by, going in and out of the kitchen but not looking around. Even the one staff that was at the bar area had her head down the entire time.

We had to walk inside to get their attention, after which the manager pointed out the TINY call button at the far end of the table opposite from where we sat—an item that was clearly blocked from my view by the plates AND was never introduced to us at any time since they came to take our order.

We asked for the rest of our order. She said, “your order’s complete” We said, “no” and she went in to check.

THEN, this said manager who originally had “checked” and confirmed availability of the soup, said, “i’m sorry, it’s not available. It hasnt been available for days. Can we offer you the clam chowder?”

??? This is the dumbest and LAZIEST service i’ve ever experienced and not something i’d expect from Mama Lou’s. Food is fine, but poor service absolutely ruined it. Would not recommend...

Tried this recently opened Italian restaurant inside the Madison gardens and it didn’t disappoint. Upon entering we were quickly ushered to our table by the friendly staff. They have pizza, salads, soups and appetisers. The gracious staff got our respective orders and was delivered hot and fresh at a minimum time. Tried their pasta verde and pasta ala Norma. They used the freshest ingredients and the taste was good. We asked the staff if we can return at a later time for our dessert and was so thankful that they waited for us past their closing time. And of course, we ordered their best sellers for our desserts and it was superb. A must try is their cheese cake and cannoli. The ambiance, the food, and the staff nailed it. Cravings...

Pathetic service.... 2nd it happened with us, 1st time was in Mama Lous BF Homes. They just forget 1 or the other order and care less... waited for 40 min for 1 dish we ordered. We finished eating other 2 dishes and unfortunately they had no clue about it... when asked all keep looking at each other's face.. staff in kitchen looks surprised as they seen a ghost.. and they are happy to bring you the bill without it.. no apology no concern no explanation.. Absolutely flabbergasted with their behavior.. Poor experience.. careful when u order and ensure u remind them when they role out dishes 1 by 1.. else there might be something kitchen forgets and service staff are hiding their faces due to...
