My family and I had my granduncle's birthday lunch at Max's Restaurant. The restaurant had a neat and presentable dining area but a somewhat worn function room. The service was satisfactory. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. However, they set up the function room for our event in ways that were not very efficient.
For lunch, the celebrant and guests had Tofu Fries, Pocherong Baka Soup, Fried Boneless Bangus, Lechon Kawali Kare-Kare, Fried Chicken, Chicken Sisig, Plain Rice, Green Mango Shake, and Leche Flan. Overall, the meals were in between average and good. They were rather underwhelming though, considering how the food was supposedly delectable enough for my parents' wedding reception nearly four decades ago. The Tofu Fries, Fried Boneless Bangus, Lechon Kawali, Kare-Kare, and Fried Chicken were quite bland on their own but tasty with their corresponding dips and condiments.
