The bread and butter were good, but no longer complimentary.

I had the taco salad which was very disappointing. If there WAS any meat in it was lost amongst the beans. The presentation was an interesting choice to just cover it with tortilla chips, rather than just setting it aside. I suspect it was to cover up the missing meat. Lol. It was also served first while the rest of our order was still cooking. (There were four of us dining today.) Of course I waited to eat until everything was served.

My wife ordered the Seafood Pasta. It was good and not overly thick. However, the reason we were here in the first place was because of their Pasta Nerga, which wasn't available. A point of criticism is that this should have been mentioned as soon as the menus were given out.

Our server was very friendly and attentive on the other hand. Cheers to her. I liked the garden but I would've liked to have seen it back in its glory days. I'm sure it must've been impressive. Now parts of it is just used as parking space and trash area.

Nice new menus and tables, but the menus should really include descriptions so that one doesn't make the mistake of ordering a meatless taco salad.

With that being said, I still recommend this place and would eat here again. If only to eat the Pasta...

Malen’s Restaurant in Noveleta is a timeless gem—a place where Cavite’s local flavors, textures, and stories come alive in every corner. Stepping inside feels like entering a living museum of heritage and hospitality. The walls, adorned with sepia-toned photographs and heirloom memorabilia, whisper tales of old Cavite—its heroes, homes, and heart.

The food is every bit as memorable as the setting. Their Kare-Kare bursts with creamy peanut richness, beautifully balanced by crisp vegetables and bagoong that hits all the right notes. The Gambas—plump shrimp sautĆ©ed with onions and peppers—offers just the right kick, especially with warm bread to soak up the sauce. And the Roast Beef in Gravy? Tender, flavorful, and pure comfort on a plate.

Dining here is not just about the food—it’s about savoring Cavite’s soul. The ambiance invites long conversations and laughter, whether with family or old friends. From the warm smiles of the staff to the nostalgia-filled dĆ©cor, Malen’s reminds you that good taste and good memories are best enjoyed together.

A must-visit when in Cavite—for the flavors, the history, and the feeling of coming...

This is one of my favourite places! I have eaten here with my family a few times now. My father who SUPER picky enjoys coming here and has done so for a long time. I have come when they serve buffet and it was fresh, tasty, good variety. There is salad (YESSS!), pasta, soup, meats and desserts. The last time went there I had the Ginataang (cream of coconut) Pampano. It was OMG-delicious: lots of ginger, garlic and delectable fish. Honestly, I would go back there just for this dish. That's how good it is. My brother loves their Ox Tail and my mom had their shrimp Sinigang. Very good too. Oh, their coffee is fantastic quality and they have a snack shop with traditional sweet & savory items. My fave is the squid jerky and the baby fish (dunno what it's called!) seasoned savory with a...

Malen’s Restaurant is a filipino cuisine food place that is between fine dining and casual eating. With the menu placed underneath the glass tabletop denotes a fast food like feeling amongst Filipiniana decor. It sounds weird but somehow it works. The food is good and basic Filipino a d service is quick and fast. The servers are friendly and willing to give their recommendation as well as amenable to special requests without giving much fuss. There is a dine dining area which is usually used for large receptions like weddings. The common area is bright and cool. Spacing between tables is also good so overhearing other customer’s conversations is not a problem. If one os looking for a quick bite or a long lunch/ dinner Malen’s is a great place to go.
