On the way home, again passed by SBMA for dinner. This time our stop was Rali's. Rali happens to be the college nickname of owner, Raul Peralta. We started off with a shareable order of Caesar Salad (P260) which they served with their complimentary muffins which paired well with their buttercream. A dish they're famous for is Tuna Nicoise or Blackened Tuna (P570) and it's absolutely brilliant. Sashimi grade tuna is seared and presented with cherry tomatoes, marble potatoes, olives, soft boiled eggs in their signature dressing. It's meaty, scrumptious and melt-in-your-mouth good at the same time. The tart dressing ties everything up together quite well. We also had the Roast Pork Belly (P605) served with dauphinoise potatoes (some sort of potato gratin) in sauce gribiche which is very flavorful. Unfortunately, the skin was chewy and not crispy. Next up was the Smoked Salmon with Egg Salad Sandwich (P580). It came with a side salad of greens and cherry tomatoes. They baked their own multigrain sourdough bread slathered with cream cheese for this sandwich. Spot on deliciousness! For dessert, we had their best-selling Turtle Pie (P250) with an Oreo crust, Salted Caramel and Butter Pecan Ice Cream with Chocolate drizzle - yummy! We also had their Baked Caramel Cheesecake (P180) which was fine but did not elicit to the same wow factor as the Turtle Pie. Despite the very few misses, we had a wonderful meal made more enjoyable by the high level of customer service at Rali's.

Went here for my partner's birthday dinner. Servers are very accommodating and they gave us the best view of the sunset at the deck as per our reservation. I highly recommend their Turtle Pie and the complimentary pavlova (hope they can put this on the menu 🙏)

Review dated Dec 29 2021. You cannot miss this restaurant as you head to cubi point or the airport from the main intersection where pure gold is. It's about a hundred meters from that intersection on the right side where the malasawa fishing point is. Lots of open parking. They open at 8 am. The prices are hotel lobby restaurant expensive. Do not eat here if you are on a budget. A beef tapa meal here will feed 5 to 6 people breakfast at Jollibee or mcdo. That said the place has been well maintained despite the fact that it had been open ever since I can remember when we visited Subic after the base was turned over. The staff are attentive. The tables spotless and utensils are well set. And since the dining area is open covid risk is minimized. You will have a great view of the water as you dine. They put a great deal of detail on the presentation of the food. I ordered the Angus beef tapa and I describe the small meal that has a lot of onions on the side to be strangely satisfying. Meals come with a cup of Americano. The Comfort room was adequate being quite old and could do with some improvements. They accept credit cards. Lots of parking but not for the budget constrained. No Wi-Fi

Me & my spouse was driving to SBMA Friday afternoon (11/11) from Anvaya Cove & we just chanced to visit this place because of the inviting view from Argonaut highway. Rali’s strength are the views.. probably the best in Subic when it comes to ambience.

However, as experienced global travelers, it is our opinion that the place can get better.

Food: The hamburger entree was nicely presented, but my medium rare beef patties’ with fries was not at par with restaurants of similar price point. The French Fries were saggy. While the burger patties at 625Php, should be of better quality than most competition (perhaps just make the beef pattie a 1/3 pounder (instead of thin double patties). The Fruti de Mare is just ok. At 550php, one may not expect a better quality entree.

I will rate this place at 3.5 stars. It can easily get up to 4 stars by paying better attention to details in keeping the whole place better sanitary looking (including parking area) & the quality food leveled up by at least 1 notch. It’s a challenge but that’s how you achieve 4stars.

To achieve 5stars.. will be very challenging… to implement elevated price points (to improve the food & infrastructure) may not be financially feasible for both local & foreign...
