Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Palo

I missed Shakey’s while I was abroad so was very excited to eat here again. Love the food, always.

The only downside today is we weren’t allowed to change our minds in the middle regarding our order because according to the servers (we asked 2 to be sure) our orders were already punched in. But we haven’t paid yet as obviously you pay at the end. And we keep adding to our table’s tab throughout the meal anyway.

For more context, we ordered a pitcher of Coke Zero. My dad had then decided to go to the toilet. Out server came back and said pitcher was no longer available while my dad was away, so we said that’s okay, we’ll have 3 cans of Coke Zero instead.

When my dad came back, we explained we switched out the pitcher for 3 cans. He then thought, ok he’ll just have his free coffee instead (being a Shakey’s member) so we called a server asking to cancel one of the cans of Coke Zero. She said they aren’t able to do so as it has already been punched in — it has not been served yet though.

So we asked another server, they said the same thing.

Am I remembering it wrong or were you able to change your mind (of course if you hadn’t touched the food yet) in the middle of a meal at Shakeys, and still able to do it at other restaurants were you don’t pay...

The staff and manager there were very accommodating and attentive. I have a big family and we don't want to be separated for table. We just seated to a table for 4-seater, as long as we gonna eat together. The staff were concerned to us and offered other table to seat in but refused as we prefer to eat in a one table even though it was small hahaha. But then, we really needed another 1 table so we agreed to get another table but to be put beside our existing table even though we have a small space already 😂 we fitted in together yey! my family enjoyed eating together, the food and drinks were served fast. Food and drinks were good to our taste buds and went home with a stomach full. We even able to avail the Senior Citizen discount for the additional orders we had. The ambience was nice and...

I don't recommend this to any diner who wants his/her order fast. There were a lot of staff but too sloppy. I and my fiance went there hoping for a great dining experience as we were discussing a very serious matter. They served my order first and we waited for almost 45mins for his. I followed up 3 times and told us like 5mins, then 3 mins and then 2mins. I lost my appetite and decided to just cancel the order and take out mine. Even wrapping the take-out food took too long. Staff here needs training. They even don't have a lot of diner to attend to. I wonder what took them so long. It's okay to pay at any price as long as the...
