The food is good and prepared in local style. The serving sizes were very sufficient and prices were OK. The kinilaw and spicy soup were both very good here. There is no air conditioning. They do have fans running. There is purified water available for self-service. Unfortunately, there were no single serving options for tuns belly, and I was the only one in our group that wanted any, so we had more than we could eat. Also, the fried 'fillets' were small, mostly breading, and a bit dry and overcooked. If you are used to local food preparation, this is a 'decent' place. As a Westerner, there is a little to be desired in both service and preparation. Expect to pick fish scales from your teeth with the tuna and expect it to be cooked med-well (probably necessary to be safe since it sets in a display case). Also, I was still making my order when, without any comment or confirmation, staff just left to put the order in and do something else, so I had to chase another employee to finish the order. It probably didn't help that I don't speak the native language, but I already accept that as my responsibility and deficiency, not theirs. Other than those things mentioned, the food was good overall. Prices were reasonable. Service wasn't horrible, but staff is definitely in need of better training and professionalism to meet industry standards. Likewise, I'm in need of learning the native language better.
