Not Just Coffee At The Glasshouse — Restaurant in Puerto Galera

I have visited the Not Just Coffee restaurant many times and I have always been extremely impressed by the quality and variety of the dishes they offer and have never been disappointed in my expectations.

The name of the restaurant is a bit misleading because they serve extraordinarily more than just coffee. They have a menu which along with the “daily specials” features dishes from different cuisines and regions. Some of the highlights include beef tenderloin, pork, duck breast or leg confit, lamb shank, fish, pasta and of course Pizza’s together with as expected to compliment, an amazing selection of salads.

If you really think (you know you do) have room after your delicious main dish, the desserts are so heavenly and scrumptious, I can assure you, they are totally irresistible.

What makes this restaurant stand out is the way they cook your food. They use mostly Sous Vide, a high tech process that involves vacuum-sealing (meats & poultry especially) & cooking it in a water bath at a precise temperature. This ensures that the food is cooked evenly and retains its moisture and flavour. The result is perfection, with tender, juicy, and delicious food that literally melts in your mouth. The chef also adds his own unique touch of herbs and spices to enhance the taste and elegant presentation of the dish.

The service by the owners (Vic & Lexi) and their staff at Not Just Coffee is extremely friendly and attentive, making everyone feel just like family. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and can make recommendations based on your preferences.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with good music and warm lighting. The restaurant & bar on the main floor is spacious with a delightful glass walled wrap-around veranda, providing a fantastic view of the bay. Downstairs is yet another bar (open on weekends) providing full service with an indoor pool for those who feel the need to Kool off. Both bars are very fully stocked providing enough variety to satisfy any thirst be it ravenous or selective & including craft and international beers together with standard and custom cocktails including a large selection of juices and shakes (especially for the kids).

Not Just Coffee is one of my favorite restaurants in Puerto Galera/Sabang and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves gourmet food and coffee. It is a place where you can enjoy an extremely satisfying meal with your family or friends, or just treat yourself to a cup of coffee and a delicious dessert. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

After reading the reviews and checking out the pictures we decided on this cute little café restaurant overlooking a beautiful ocean cove

The Staff were really helpful giving us some feedback on menu and some of there specialties

the menu is large there’s so much to choose from I was really feeling like pizza so we ordered the delicious thin crust pizza has so much flavor it’s really crunchy and thin goes great with cold beer

Your happy hour menu is amazing is the best deal in town

If you’re looking for a lovely place to go on a date and enjoy a cozy romantic evening this restaurant is the perfect place to make them say wow

The food is so flavorful fresh and delicious the beer is ice cold and before our drive home I ordered a Coffee to pick me back up and give me a little boost for the evening festivities

Overall if you’re looking for a delicious coffee shop or a café restaurant the best view of the beautiful ocean this is the spot for you

There’s a couple parking spots in front if not you can always park on the other side of the street

From our hotel on the beach we took a tricycle up there It was 50 pesos each way so great deal

The staff were amazing even helped as flag down a tricycle to get back home

You won't find a better restaurant in Puerto Galera in my humble opinion. Fair prices, great service. The night we went for dinner was the night after a big event for them, so they were out of a few things we wanted to try. But the staff recommended some great alternatives, and now I have a reason to go back and try the steaks. Vic, the owner (not sure if I spelled his name right), was friendly, accommodating, and it's obvious he knows how to run an establishment that feels welcome and friendly.

There are many dogs hanging around, I think Golden Retrievers. Personally this is a huge plus for me, I love dogs. And these dogs are big lumps of love.

Just like many places in the area, you may have to wait a bit for the food if it's really busy, but order an appetizer and a drink and enjoy the view while you wait. Get there before sunset. There aren't many seats in the restaurant without a good view.

I will be returning every time I'm in Puerto Galera. If I could rate it...
