Mangroves Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Puerto Galera

I was beginning to despair of finding a proper French press coffee and western-style breakfast, then while motorcycling around the bay I discovered this restaurant at the Edgewater Resort and was served a perfect eggs Benedict with hash browns and coffee. The view is worth a million dollars and flawless, there is a dive and tourist boat operation from here and hotel. I love Filipino street food and eat local food most of the time but when a Westerner's craving comes on this is the place to repair for a breeze of fresh air and a dip in the clean swimming pool - or indulge in cocktails from the pool bar... Food was worth the wait, emphasis on wait because we waited for a good bit before the food arrived. Staff were good to inquire about activities you could do around the area, but they were in our experience, sometimes hard to call because they were not nearby. The atmosphere is good, there's a lot of views to take in surrounding the area.

Also, if you use waze to navigate to this area, there is a road cut off that will confuse waze users, use google maps where there is a straight road before you get here, enter that straight road which goes down and you will end up on an arch that says edgewater.
