Still one of the best Japanese restaurants. Have several visits before. And i must say, that they have retained the quality of foods, they offer. But, i do hope that they would really serve green tea or brown rice tea, together with the meal as a compliment. That would have made the experience complete. After all, the prices can allow this little luxury. The parking in front allows for at least 5 vehicles. The rest, can park on the side streets. Just be on the alert, if the MMDA , is not operating on the clearing operations. Then you'll be fine. Salmon sushi is fresh. Tempura soba, is also a good choice. The arrangements of fixtures and furnitures has not changed much as well. So, there's still kind of tired and old surroundings. But, the place is clean and servers are on the alert for your orders.

My order came late. I had to ask for the dessert in my bento meal. They forgot about it when the bill was paid. In addition. The restaurant wasn't full. There was only one dinner napkin. The rest were generic low quality napkins. I buy my own dinner napkins in Canada for my meal setting. I don't appreciate napkins that will go with a canteen setup. The first time I had the chicken bento, it arrived on time. Dessert was also placed after my meal. This time, the service and food were very lacking.

We craved for some authentic japanese food for dinner but we were not so sure that there is a restaurant near our area, but just our luck, this branch along holy spirit drive is still open during this time of pandemic. Our bellies were filled with tasty gyudon, ramen, maki roll and best of all overflowing hot tea! Yay..

Rushed service when a server finally shows up. I was present on Valentines day, waited 15 minutes for a table, another 15 minutes attempting to order drinks..finally was able to place my order, most of the items I ordered arrived at the same time, with only 1 item which i sent back due to the fact that my order was cooked instead of raw sushi; however instead of listening to the customer and acceding to customer request, instead of serving my shrimp nigiri a small plate of raw shrimp arrived, and when I asked where the rice, which usually comprises nigiri sushi..I was told that they serve rice under the cooked shrimp nigiri not on raw shrimp, which was aggravating and I consider that issue to be poor service. The portions were large which was good, and the the tuna and other seafood were fresh, and some of the menu items weren't available which was not explained before ordering..again lame service..next with a table full of food, I was informed that they were closing and would I like anything else..I ordered 1 more item from the bar, then waited while hurriedly eating food on the table for 10 minutes for the check and another 10 mins to sign the credit card slip..all in all, to say I was less than impressed with the service would be understated, despite the good portion size an excellent presentation of most of my items the poor service overshadowed all else..I do not believe I will be giving any further business to this...

We had a reservation for 7 people. Upon arriving we were told that we did not have a reservation. I asked again (the waitress with braces) if we really did not have a reservation. She answered rudely and did not even bother to check. One of us made the reservation IN PERSON just last night. They insisted that we do not have one and we were given the sunken tables. Note that we have an infant with us and I am pregnant. Minutes later one of them came back and said that we did have a reservation and they mistakenly gave it to a different party. No apologies whatsoever. Their service is one of the worst. Even a karinderya would have a much more polite server.

As for the food, what I personally had was tasteless. The sauce of the zaru soba tasted like diluted sweet dashi. The chicken karaage's sauce tasted like salad dressing. The tamago was just sad. They did not even bother giving us individual plates considering we mostly ordered food items that are good for sharing.

The only good thing about this place is the decor and the very nice parking attendant. One star the...
