October 2023: quick dinner coming home from Rizal. The grilled bangus is fresh and tasty. Pairs very well with the steamed veggie platter. Grilled squid is also cooked right- not too burnt, not raw, not overcooked. Serving size is big forn the price you pay. They're renovating. Sad to not see the little kubo huts. They replaced it with concrete and tables and chairs.
First review: Ate here often during the pandemic. The place is clean and the view is pleasant. It's on the highway but upon entry, you have an option of dining in a small nipa hut. The resto is in the middle of a ricefield, so you have fresh breeze while you eat, plus a view of the Pililia windmills. Price isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but it's okay for the serving size and quality, except that for the 3 times or so that we ordered sisig, it's burnt and was not palatable. Their coffee is better than average in the area. When it gets busy, the servers may need reminding. Once, we were charged with anither table's order. Upon correcting at the cashier, we were charged less than what we ordered so we...
Read moreBest restaurant in the area, beautiful scenery and atmosphere backing onto a rice field pushing the fresh and cold air inside. It’s not an air conditioned restaurant but it has a high ceiling and huge electric fans are provided. We were there at a hight of heat but just fresh air inside. It had upstairs for private functions and there’s one enclosed with clear glass downstairs which seems to the only air conditioned room. The food was served within 20 to 30 min but it didn’t felt like it because we had a change to do pictorials on a picturesque backdrop of the rice fields. Plants all around and typical Filipino ambiance. Entrees were served first the main good arrived and was served all at the same time. Decent portions to share and very delicious. Staff are nice and helpful to us 12 people who manage to get us seats without booking but we were there at 10:30am for lunch hahaha. Parking was easy and safe. Rest rooms are clean and take note - with toilet paper. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the Philippines and will come back when I’m...
Read moreThe place's exterior, interior and menu are all presentable. Filipino pride. The ambiance feels good and relaxing upstairs as well as in the kubo area. Our meals were served on time. Price-wise and taste are both fair enough. Ample parking space. What's going to cause a bad impression though is that they looked like understaffed. Possibly, it's just for today? A lot of customers, mostly with cars are willing to dine in with coffee. Probably, safety and cost-cutting due to pandemic? There's only 1 barista, W/O anyone to stay long enough to help him in the cafe area ☹️ There were lots of customers who decided to leave due to the cafe area issue. He's doing his best to assist all customers properly, but he really can't accommodate and serve all of their orders ALONE. We ordered our frappes ahead of our meals but was just served after we had eaten. Also, one of our forks was not properly washed when it was provided. I'll give this place a fair...
