Cafe Cristina — Restaurant in Rizal

Your cafe is a scam!! The restaurant is terrible, and your food is overpriced!! We ordered marinara chicken pasta, and it arrived with a strong fishy smell!! We ended up not finishing it!! The quarter-pound burger with fries was also not appetizing because it’s small and had STICK INSIDE, imagine if we didn’t check it?? We could’ve put into a dangerous situation!! It really is not worth it!!

The bread used for the garlic bread with the pasta seemed like it had been reheated ten times!!

Also, the coffee—the main reason we came all the way from Manila to Antipolo—tasted horrible!! It was bland, extremely expensive, and basically just BLAND water in a cup!!

Lastly, your plates are horrible—they look like they belong in A KARINDERYA! The forks look worn out, and the cups look like TAG BE-BENTENG u can buy in divisoria!

I can’t even post the food we ate because your plates are so ugly!!

Overall, our experience was terrible!! We wasted 885 pesos on food that tasted awful, in a place with no view, bad coffee, and ugly SET UP!! To make it worse, there were strangers approaching us to said they’d like to sing a song in return pay them, even when we did not want to be bothered!!

First time to visit the place. Ambiance was awesome. The food however is another story.

The Kiddie plate of chicken, spaghetti and fries was AWFUL. My son took one bite of the spaghetti and said he didn’t want it. The spaghetti was so dry and sour. The “chicken” were homemade chicken nuggets and was hard. The fries were sad looking as well.

Arroz ala cubano also had a weird taste and the banana was unripe. Achara tasted like ginger.

The chicken BBQ was the worst of them all!!! It was supposed to be chicken BBQ (a best seller according to the menu because it has the asterisk sign) but what was served looked and tasted like chicken adobo!!! I asked the waiter why it was like that. I thought they had my order wrong. He said it was only cooked in a kawali. I chose what I thought was the safest thing in the menu but it turns out, it was the biggest fail of them all. Talk about false advertising.

All of the food were served cold. Even the service water was lukewarm.

The restaurant can only get credit from choosing a place with a view, but out of the things they can actually control, they fail spectacularly. Food takes at least 40 mins to get to your table after you order. You can't get tissue or utensils in your first try, ask them 3 more times or stand up and get it yourself. They serve the beer warm and give you ice in a glass. We were waiting for buckets of beer but they can't be bothered to serve it so I want to the counter and carried the bucket, the staff says "thank you" as if I'm doing them a favor?? Too much salt in the fish burger and sizzling mushroom. They also can't even take note of your orders so if after all this you still want to try it, double check the receipt because we got 3 orders of potato wedges and they put 8 orders on the bill.
