To be honest, we weren't supposed to be here, as we were actually looking at another restaurant. Unfortunately, we weren't able to push through as the area was in MECQ.
We were supposed to come here at another time, but here we were.
Just a reminder by the way, if you're going to eat around Antipolo, be sure you have their contact tracing app/QR code.
Anyway, we were seated immediately after we arrived. So I guess it was a slow time for them. We got the baby back ribs, chicken cordon bleu, ceasar's salad, creamy pesto garlic pasta with shrimp, and some drinks.
The star of our orders? The creamy pesto garlic pasta. It was delicious. You can taste the pesto, the garlic, the shrimps were fresh and cooked well, and the pasta was al dente. It was a great dish. The bread in the pasta however, is just forgettable.
The baby back ribs was also good. There was a bit spice and the meat was tender. Serving was also generous. Just wished I had the option of having it with mashed potatoes instead of rice. The chicken cordon bleu was okay. The chicken could have been better. It was a bit dry and flavorless. The ceasar's salad is, well, unremarkable, nothing good or bad to say about it.
Now the drinks. As you can see, I had a freshly squeezed lemonade. It was indeed freshly squeezed but it was too sweet and too acidic for me. There was no balance.
Anyway, because of the pasta, I would definitely...

Detailed Review:
Reason for going: Wanted to spend anniversary lunch date with the wife. Restaurant is 14km away from home.
The good: Ambience was good but not really remarkable. Service, however, was more than satisfactory. Staff was nice and the manager was very accommodating.
The not so good (but not really bad): Don't come here if you want a "dining with a view" experience which is what most people go to Antipolo restaurants for. They also didn't have a card payment option. So you need to pay by Cash, GCash, or bank transfer.
The bad: Food was not remarkable, which is a shame because you'd think they'd have quality food for the price.
Specific food review (limited to what we ordered, of course): Onion Soup - 1/5 (very disappointing, it's like drinking sugar water with onions) Pumpkin Soup - 2/5 Aburi Maki - 4/5 Smoked Salmon Pasta - 3/5 Wagyu Flatiron Steak - 2/5 (very disappointing) Americano - 3/5 (burnt)
Total Bill: ₱ 1,425.00 Perceived value for money: 3/5
Verdict: Might have a coffee/merienda if I'm in the neighborhood. But will not come back for...
Read moreFrom QC we drove to Antipolo to check this place cos the 1st choice of restaurant was closed so we opted to check this one out. On a cold rainy day their hot coffee wasn't available only cold drinks. Food wasn't wow. A typical cafe outside within the neighborhood. Though we kind of enjoyed the potato wedges. The Monte Cristo sandwich was just so so. My foreign hubby and I cook a lot so we know what taste good. I say it's a decent place located in a subdivision. I guess there's too much hype on places to check out in Antipolo but in reality, as what a local from the area, its a disappointment. I guess it's a good place for those living within Antipolo. Driving up to Antipolois not fun at all with lots of crazy tricycle drivers. I think they are not supposed to be allowed to be on the road together with 6 wheeler trucks. There's always an accident along Sumulong Highway and yes we did ran across a dead man riding his motor bike hit by a delivery truck. Awful experience. *My tip, do not waste your time checking out hinulugang taktak. And don't believe all write ups or blogs. Bloggers are paid...
