Review - Yummie's
Located within a gasoline station complex with shared parking slots. Yummie's offers affordable meals like silog, pork barbecue on stick, chicken barbecue, different kinds of pansit, and lomi. They also sell snacks, and drinks. It's an open air diner with many seats and tables. The dining area has adequate lighting, looked clean, and was well-arranged during our visit. The large windows around the diner provided excellent ventilation and visibility to the parking area. Each table has a set of condiments to perk up your food. I tried the pork barbecue meal. The meat was cooked right, but lack a bit of flavor for my taste. The cup of rice was served hot, and cooked really well. The complementary soup that comes with the meal had too much pepper that it slightly irritated my throat. It did help improve the eating experience, just be cautious when taking each sip. I also tried the Special Lomi. It's a large serving, enough for a meal. The noodles were cooked soft. The soup was thick and rich, mixed with egg. But to me, the toppings, and the overall taste feels imbalanced. The Lomi itself had a strong artificial smell, although it was tasty. I did not like the meat toppings, which to my taste did not complement the Lomi well. The chicharon toppings lost a bit of its crunch. I felt eating the Lomi is a chore, not enjoyable. In terms of customer experience, I did not enjoy the dining experience. Just as we were about to start eating, a staff came to me and asked to excuse him for the shutter. I gave way, and I was surprised that the staff proceeded straight to close the window shutter beside us. The group of staff also started cleaning the place early, and arranging the tables and chairs around us for closing. While this is a low cost diner, these experiences are bad because it made us felt unwelcome to enjoy our food. We felt rushed. When we entered the place, it was also not clear to us if it is self service, or if someone will come to our table given the number of staff around the place. Giving good customer experience does not require a...
