We arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled time and were asked to wait in our car as the previous guests had not yet left. The staff instructed us to park outside and temporarily closed the gate until our reserved time. When we were finally allowed in, there was no welcome or orientation. No one introduced the place, and even something as simple as offering water was only done after we were already seated. Being a smaller group of just 7, we were considered “joiners.” It would have been helpful if the staff had informed us that service would only begin once the main group had arrived. The food was enjoyable overall. We especially liked the sesame bread and requested a second serving. However, when we asked, the staff said it would take time as it was frozen. We got the impression that they were reluctant to fulfill our request. A simple clarification about any extra charges would have been fine with us. After insisting, the chef finally approached us and explained it was being defrosted and would be served shortly. That was the only interaction we had with the chef. The food was delicious, though the broiled salmon was our least favorite—it was too sweet for a main dish. Since we had two kids with us, we couldn’t finish everything, and they offered to pack the leftovers. However, for a price of P2,500 per person, we were surprised that the food was packed in a basic plastic bag rather than a proper reusable container. There was no air conditioning, but the place was well ventilated with plenty of fans. Overall, it was an interesting experience, though there were areas that could...
Read moreThis is worth the drive from Manila. The best food I had by far. Serving is huge, presentation at it's finest, dishes simply delicious. Chef Dennis prepares the meal right infront of you and personally serves the food to the table. We went for lunch, an 8-course meal that started with freshly baked bread-crusty on the outside, soft and warm on the inside paired with dip of olive oil with fish flakes - not the regular bottled or preserved store bought fish flakes but cooked fresh from the kitchen's catch of the day. The summer salad is colorful-beautifully nestled on top of fresh greens are slices of dragon fruit, apple, ripe mango thinly sliced singkamas, pinipig crunch topped with sweet and creamy dressing with a hint of what I think is juice of pineapple. The salmon is served with crispy skin and caramelized sugar that cracks like crème brûlée. The pasta is mixed with sauce of pork sisig-another uniquely delicious meal. The braised beef melts in your mouth, so soft you can just lift this meat with a toothpick. The pork liempo is perfect, the crispy skin separates from the meat, making it even more appealing. The coffee jelly dessert will keep you awake after a much satisfying meal. I recommend calling way ahead to reserve a table. If you want to impress your family, your neighbor, your foreign guests or your boss, your classmates or friends.. bring them here, you'll be...
Read moreThe food served were extraordinary. We were really surprised at how big the servings were. We took home the excess but they were just in a plastic bag.
The Summer Salad was my favorite, paired with Broiled Salmon which was my another favorite. Then came the Oriental Shrimp which is an average for me. The Sisig pasta was so aromatic but we got to the point that we were so full so we did not enjoyed much since this. Then, the Beef Shank in a creamy sauce. It looks glorious! But made us feel bad because we were 90% full by this time, cant take much. Then 2nd to the last was the Crispy Pork with buro covered in lettuce. It was crispy and has a very unique flavor. Last came the Barako coffee jelly, 4/5.
We were 11 in a group but the minimum is 12 pax so we have to pay for the 12th pax. Parking is limited, can only accommodate 1 then 2 in front (street parking). We parked...
