We have visited other Rai Rai Ken stores in the past, particularly the SLEX Shell outlet, and generally our dining experience has been satisfactory. It's our first time to try this particular branch, we were originally supposed to dine at the usual Shell outlet but because of the weekend crowd we opted to avoid the traffic and come over here. Sadly though, our meal was not as good as we'd hope it would be. We ordered tempura, gyudon, 2 different ramen (I forgot exactly which one), salmon sashimi and miso soup. The miso soup as well as the ramen were a tad too salty. Me and my son are normally noodle lovers so we savor it to the last drop, however this time around we didn't even finish our soup until halfway. The salmon sashimi also wasn't as fresh as it should be. We're still fans of Rai Rai Ken but we'd probably patronize their other branches over this one.
Another suggestion too... For a Japanese restaurant the ambience was kinda spoiled by the TV in the dining area that was playing at the time of our visit 90s-early 2000s pop/hip hop MTV tracks, which detracted from the...
Read moreWe enjoyed a comfortable meal in a cozy atmosphere. The food was prepared and served quickly, and the staff was very friendly. The ramen seemed a bit salty, but the broth was soft and deep, so it wasn't stimulating. It was also good because it wasn't greasy. Chicken Don was soft and delicious with a sweet teriyaki flavor. Bento consists of various side menus, and you can choose the main menu as pork, chicken, shrimp, etc. according to your taste. It was nice that you could eat a variety of relatively neat side menus. It was also nice that miso or small ramen soup was served together so that you wouldn't feel greasy, so you could enjoy a hearty meal. There are also seats by the window where light seeps in, seats with soft indoor lighting, or separate spaces where families can dine, so you can choose where to eat according to the meaning of...
Read moreWhat a great way to celebrate Valentines Day with your loved ones! When we arrived, Kuya Guard immediately assisted us while parking. I was skeptical since the place was gorgeous, I thought it was too expensive there. But no, the price was reasonable and the food+service were superb! We ordered rice, chicken teriyaki, seafood, fried chicken, dimsum (for sharing). Our bill was not more than 1.5k. The food was warm and you can really tell from the smell that they are sumptuous. Staff were accommodating and courteous. The lady volunteered to take our picture before leaving. Kuya Guard assisted us also...
